This is a must do in Warrnambool. Easily one of the most enjoyable experiences in the area. Dive through the history of a shipwreck through an amazing show of light and sound that makes the price paid for the tickets an absolute bargain.

Def worth a visit and to see some well preserved local history. Little shops and samples of colonial life. The working blacksmith was cool (or hot) and the oddball dog talk was with the price of admission alone.

Place was great for our young family. I don't really get into this much but still came out learning a bit of history! Not a bad half a day and the light show was good too.

Buy tickets online if you want to save. Also if you have tiddlers like me you can see a bit of the village then go to Pertobe playground then go back - lots to read so my 3 year old got a bit bored but loved feeding ducks with the food provided and seeing maremar dogs. Laser show kept 6yo and 3yo old amused :-)

This experience was breathtaking and priceless. Worth every penny and all the time we spent to come From Mount Gambier. The maritime museum is a real step back in history, and having the oddball touch with the dogs on premises makes it even more real and an even better experience for all. The sound and light show is incredible never experienced or have seen a sight quite like what we experienced it captures the struggles and boat journey all would have faced in the dreadful shipwreck coast, the backdrop as having the maritime setting as part of the show with the water effects and everything just everything made this incredible!!! A truly remarkable experience for all and must see and must do just leave plenty of time to do it so you can get the whole experience and enjoy it.

Love going to this place each time im in the area. Although im disappointed that they have removed one of the ships and the other one was being renovated. But all in all the museum provides a great insight into the history of the surrounding area and great view of lady bay.

A step back in history that is very well maintained and offers an insight into our history. If you are heading to the Great Ocean Road via Warrnambool be sure to take a few hours to have a wander through thus wonderful piece of history.
