Room was filled with mould fungus on ceiling, beds like sleeping on a marshmallow , crockery cultlery grubby, smelt dreadful, managing water temp in shower impossible but Restaurant staff lovely and food delicious.!!
Quite the wait for dinner. We were at least given the head's up..the staff are friendly but could maybe do with a bit more training on table service
The prices are cheap and reasonable. The actual hotel is very easy to find and easily accessible with decent service from the front desk. The rooms are about what you would expect for the cheaper prices however the standard of cleanliness was lacking. While the bed, toilet and tables were cleaned suitably, the same could not be said for other areas of the room where cobwebs were still looming. Not a terrible stay but not the greatest either.
We stayed in this hotel for several nights to do day trips to Wilson's prom. It was an old but very well refurbished building and the room was small but cozy. Prepare yourselves that you may only get a room with a bed and common bathrooms. The bathrooms were very clean though and in good condition, hot water running at all times.
Only thing is that our room has not been cleaned when we arrived so we got a spare room which was quite dusty. It was not a problem to change the room the next day though, the receptionist was really kind and helpful at all times.
Staff were quite friendly and the food was pretty good. A bit pricey though.
The people and fireplace are most welcoming
I stopped here for lunch after riding the rail trail from Leongatha. We had our meal in the beer garden. The ribs were very good. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices.
We used the Oberon Function room for a special birthday celebration with 14 adults and 5 children. The service was excellent as was the food. We were very happy with the cost, and the freedom allowed in the room for the young children. Highly recommended!
Good food, nice atmosphere & slow service.
Awesome food at good pub prices
We stayed 2 nights in the hotel, Wonderful staff, limited menu size but ensures food generous portions quick and food quality was great.
They seem to make an effort to separate loud families from couples in two bistro area which i was grateful of.
For a place to spend the night and get out and about during the day around Wilson's prom it was great clean comfortable bed clean crisp linen.
Shared bathroom was a nice heritage and clean, and not a problem.
However there are some rooms with ensuite for a minor price premium.
My partner and I stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful time. Our meals were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the ArtSpaces Gallery. Very much look forward to going back again.
Cold beer in old school pint glasses. The art deco exterior is the absolute bizzo. Can't go wrong if you're looking for a refreshing frothy one after a hard day hiking around the prom. Big frothy 5 stars from me.
