A magical place to visit all year round, great hiking trails, good swimming pools and one of the best waterfalls FNQ has to offer! And the walk is super easy, don't be fooled by some of the comments - take a friend with you and the views will make you forget that you're exercising.

A beautiful waterfall (or series of) and a collection of swimming holes too.
The road in has about 8km of unsealed road that's not suitable for caravans that ends in the car park and then it's about 1km of uphill to get to the falls. The track is fairly good up to a viewing area, but I reckon some of the best bits are beyond that. You'll need to scramble up granite boulders to access the swimming holes beyond. The white, smoothed granite can be very slippery at the edges of the pools and anything underwater will be like ice, so take care. We spent a lovely couple of hours playing around in the upper pools. The water is cool at first but once you're in it's lovely. Do watch for leeches though!

Beautiful spot, even in winter. This is going to be a must visit place in the summer. Sitting under the trees in the water and watching the world go by.

Nice place for a swim, but it's a bit touristy, with the rubbish and cigarette butts along the track to prove it. Water is often icy cold.

The drive there is fairly bumpy, but you can get away with using a small 2WD car. There are 2 creeks that can flood the road on the way, so be careful when it rains. Easy 2km uphill walk from the carpark to the waterfall. Set dirt path with manmade steps. Wide gushing waterfall on backdrop of golden & slate colored cliff face. It's a refreshing dip in the creeks if you wish to swim. There's a pit toilet for both sexes there.

Not too far, but strenuous, uphill walk. Breathtaking views.
