Very helpful staff. Gave us lots of advice with local knowledge. Hired a metal detector and they helped us get our fossickers license and also came back to the shop after hours so that we could get the full days hire. Exceptional service

I call ahead for a part for my lawn mower was told had them in stock and would cost $12 so go down and ask for replacement throttle control only to be told no had to buy cable as well and cost $20. I informed them I didnt want cable only handle that I had called ahead to ensure they had part required .. the saleschild questioned who I spoke to stated couldnt remember . I was not going to be ripped off by a pimpleface sales person thinking I was female and had no idea big mistake

It is so rare these days to find people that are genuinely happy to help you and go just that bit further, not for money, but just because they are decent people. I am happy to say that today I found those people at E. E. Day & Sons.

I wanted something very simple done, less than a five minute job with the right knowledge and tools, and because E. E. Day & Sons are on the other side of town from me I went to two other places first. The first told me 2 days, the second said maybe next week. While I'm sure they were just as busy as everyone else, E. E. Day & Sons did it on the spot straight away and they were happy to do it just to get me out of trouble.

This may sound trivial to whoever reads this, but I find it almost impossible these days to find businesses that are friendly and helpful and somewhere that you would actually want to go back to. I can't thank them or recommend them highly enough.
