Referred to dynomotive by a very close friend, said I would not be disappointed with the staff, the service or the price. He was right, from the time I made the appointment to the day of the service and installation of my Unichip I could not be happier.
The staff answered all my questions, gave me a rough quote but explained that when they assess the car they would give me a true quote for the work required. I was pleasantly surprised by the quote.
I met a lovely young man who was going to do the work on my car, he was pleasant, informative and made sure when the work was completed I informed of what was done and what to expect from my car with the new Unichip. I month on and I am getting more kilometres to the tank and the car is running smoother than ever.
My service book was also completed maintaining my car records.
    Thank you Dynomotive

I Was interested in finding some more performance in my cars, a land cruiser which I tow with and our family car Toyota fortuner. I called up and spoke to them about my options they were very clear and helpful, then directed me to Facebook and their website for more information. I found this interesting and satisfying to see the work that they have done over the years. Both my cars made about 40% more power and I am now saving $60 a week on fuel! I now take my cars to dynomotive for all services and inspections.

We always have our cars serviced at Dynomotive. We find the staff to be pleasant and helpful. The cost of the work is relative to the work done and very much in comparison with other work shops. The mechanics always tell us what has been done to the car and happy to answer any questions we may have. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

Had my Navara fitted with a unichip at Dynomotive.
The staff were great, I was informed about the whole process and my car has come up a treat.
Highly recommended and will continue to use Dynomotive

Consumers beware, many Moral Hazards: I wouldn’t trust these guys as far as you can throw them. I had my car booked in, after finding them on the internet for engine tuning, Cleaning out of exhaust manifolds, checking oxygen sensors etc. At around 100,000kms, i was looking into a slightly rough spike that would appear on idling of the engine. I told them what car it was, and year. They booked me in and quoted some $450 plus.

I wanted to know a few things about the work and approach, just to help me make decisions after the car was in and stripped down, sometimes its good to anticipate other things that can be done, that are useful, and if necessary do, to get the best value and maintain the engine well.

I had also spoken to my own mechanic, who also put me onto other mechanics, in the same area, who didn't have all the gear for this, but had then warned me about dealing with Dynomotive. It seems there is a trap for consumers and some impress with imagery of fancy dyno stuff, engine rebuilds etc, to given an impression.

My impression was that if they are so good, ad know so much about cars, surely, they can give a bit of an idea on patterns that are commonly encountered. Also give a bit of an idea of the process.

I emailed a week before my appointment, and asked a few questions, no reply. They ignored me. Then 6 days out I sent them a facebook message, asking some questions and also asking if I could get a bit of a plan on what might be the process, to get more insights. No reply for 4 days. Two days out from the booking I asked again on facebook, as it indicated on there that they normally reply within the hour, through facebook indication stats.

They replied but didn't answer any of my questions. They simply said: "we cover everything from standard vehicle servicing to full custom builds and everything between". It seemed pretty vague still. I replied saying: “Im afraid that doesn’t give me much of an idea still, or address my questions brought forward”. They replied in their words: “I think it's better you find another workshop that will answer your questions the way you expect, I'm sorry we couldn't be of more help”. Which I thought was pretty rude.

I replied objecting to this, and saying that its decent customer service, to give more information, and that customer service goes a long way to help in things.

They replied: “Thanks and have a nice day”. I Replied: Can you please cancel my booking for the 6th of April. They replied: “By the way, we are the original Dynomotive and we are in Australia”, with an Australian flag attached. I replied saying that I am in Australia too, and lived a few suburbs away. They replied: “Sorry we don’t work on Jags, never have, we don’t have you booked in on the 6th of April, so you have the wrong workshop..” Then they blocked the messages.

Im glad I looked into this further. I would have turned up on th day, taken the day off work, and then been stuffed around. They obviously don’t know what they are doing, and its highly advised that consumers looking to get specialised work that ordinary mechanics cannot do, stay clear away from these people.
