Shopping centre is great, lots of shops. Carpark is too small and becomes congested at Christmas. It took us 40 minutes to find an park and 65 minutes to edit the parking lot due to traffic.
Otherwise great. Three stars ⭐⭐⭐
Well supported by labels. Massive range of products. God help you in Sunday’s as the whole place becomes a giant car park. You won’t get in let alone out.
This DFO is a nice-looking shopping centre and it's got a free parking which is really handy. But the stores are a huge rip-off especially in special occasions like black friday and boxing day. Make sure not to buy anything in these days. Normal days are OK. An example of rip-offs; they say 70 percent discounts on retail prices, but what it actually is, is the prices have been increased in a way that after so-called 70 percent discount it's still the original price they wanted to sell them for. You will be much better off to go buy from somewhere else even after paying a hefty amount for say Wilson parking. I do not recommended this place as first option for shopping.
Weekends are crazy. Consider yourself lucky if you find a spot.for.your.car. Most of the stores have some sort of deals going on. Store staff is friendly and happy to help. In short it's value for money with good experience
A lot of stores. Comparing other DFOs not bad. But you won’t find all the stores that might be looking for. Go through the website before getting over here. Hard to come on a public transport.
Not quite as good as the DFO a decade ago. Not all stores offer DFO prices anymore. But still a good bargain hunting trip
DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) Essendon is a decent collection of branded outlets. Some brands are a bit pricey, some missing and good discounts during holiday times. Good parking availability.
Handy location with number of stores. Great deals for variety of products during peak and off periods. Parking is an issue at busy times
Lane closures make it absolutely impossible to drive in and out on the weekend. Hours in, no where to park, hours out. If your idea of a fun shopping excursion is sitting in traffic all day just to get to the shops go for it, otherwise avoid it until they sort their traffic control nightmare out!
Discount outlet store with a great variety of clothing stores. Can get very busy during times of sales.
Small but functional food courts inside.
Lots of homeware stores outside the complex.
Free parking and accessible via 903 bus.
If you're near the airport, DFO Essendon is an interesting shopping visit. Larger homemaker vendors are outside, and smaller vendors, especially fashion, are inside. You should have a look at the parking situation before driving into the parking area close to the inside shops. Might be better off parking near the furniture guys. There's food vendors inside, and plenty to see.
Handy place to go. Lots of variety. Relaxed atmosphere.
Some good stores with decent sales. Typically crowded. Parking can be difficult.
Constantly crowded and poorly laid out. Most shoppers seem to come to browse for bargains, the price reductions on brand names isn't worth the hassle. I haven't found any of the stores staff to be particularly helpful but the number of customers and window shoppers would make it difficult for them I guess.
Plenty of shops there and worth a visit. I was able to pick up a nice bargain. They also have the larger stores in the homemaker centre.
