The service was amazing. Our waitress was a Japanese woman who really went out of her way to give us a lovely time. The food was quick and delicious! Burnt butter ravioli was a win for me. Would definitely come again. Perfect for those summer evenings.
Good evening, I attended your restaurant in Darling Harbour for my Christmas party and have to be completely honest and say myself and team were left disappointed in your restaurant’s customer service skills and overall attitude toward serving us. Throughout dinner we tried numerous times to gain contact through waiters and waitresses yet were ignored and left unattended. Myself and team were shocked to learn that the staff and hostess had closed off the deposit without informing us of her actions. One of the team on my table is a food and drink journalist who is currently working on an article of the best restaurants in Sydney & she after dining at your restaurant quite simply admitted that she cannot include your restaurant, hospitality & service in the article. Due to these actions non of us will be returning to this restaurant ever again and will be informing others about our horrible experience here tonight.
Absolutely worst dining experience to date. If I could rate less than a 1 start I would.
Was greeted rudely by the wait staff.
We advised 3 times that we were waiting on 2 more people before we were ready to order but despite that we were interrupted 2 more times prior if we were ready to order.
Once we did order, we didn't receive 2 of our entrees and even when we mentioned this, by the time it had come out everyone was mostly finished their mains.
Bare in mind, there was only 5-6 tables max in the entire restaurant (not the slightest busy at all).
I had the beef tortellini sage truffle and it tasted like a frozen packet meal you would find at Coles. There was minimal sauce and the meat lacked any flavor at all and when I asked the waitstaff if it was made in house, she notified me they come prepackaged. I understand not all meals can be made fresh but I was not offered another dish at all, and when sent back they gave me a dish just coated in more sauce. I have never in my life sent a dish back but was absolutely disgusted in the quality of the food. I did not finish at all and for $30 you would expect at least a half decent dish.
All of my family rated their food below average - for a well known Italian Restaurant, I was extremely upset.
Would not recommend anyone to go here.
Set menu for Christmas lunch, food was fine but lots left. Asked if we could take away leftover pizza, denied for some unknown reason. Place does delivery so what's the difference other reviews said they had leftovers? Food safety? Just such a waste of food as we were forced into set menu. Just let us take it home!
I hosted a group gathering of my office team as a Christmas dinner at Darling Harbour.
*First Impression:-
When we entered in to the restaurant, their staff was not even acknowledging us. We had to approach them to check that we had booking & where we can sit.
Website Issue:-
*They highlighted on their website to join membership & receive a 7% discount. But their website could not let me register. When I explain this to one of their staff, they said it not possible. After few unsuccessful tries in front of them, they advised me that in this case, you have to send an email to their reservation team, which I had already done a couple of days before. Then he mentioned you need to send it at least five days before because that is their processing time. So I ask in this case can he give me a discount & he refused. So basically it is just a fake promotion to get this discount you need to climb on a mountain.
Dinning issue:-
*While taking order or service, their staff was ridiculously rude. They are reacting like it is not a restaurant it is a school & they are our teachers and we are their students.
*To place an order we had to wait for 45mintes but while placing the order they will not wait for a single minute & the funny thing is they were not busy at all.
*Food:-
Their food was good.
But if we consider every fact that food with that type of service and atmosphere at that price is not worth at all. People go to fine dine because they want to spend quality time not just for food. If I just need to eat food there are many cheaper restaurants at darling harbour.
Overrated and overpriced. I have tried a few of their pasta before, most of them tasted subpar. Pink sauce tasted horrible. Small portions. Pizza was okay. Definitely do not recommend their desserts, tasted horrible and ingredients were not fresh.
People still visit this place because of special occasions, or because it's popular among tourists. There are plenty other restaurants around Darling Harbour, this one is not worth the money.
Went for my friend’s lunch celebration and that was my first time. Not too sure if I (nor they) will return again.
So first off, as soon as I sat down, I noticed that the plates were dusty (we were seated around the balcony area).
All the staff were very friendly except for one particular person that was rude to us. While taking our orders, my friend had to repeat herself several times (and mind you, it’s not noisy outside and my friend knows how to speak up, also who asks “what can I get for you guys” looks down at their tablet as my friend says something and asks to repeat herself again? If you weren’t ready to take our order then you shouldn’t have asked. It’s not very professional and is rude) and at the end the staff gave her a dirty look. It made us feel VERY uncomfortable. Everytime that staff went to our table, the approach was just so different from the rest.
Food was okay. Nothing too special but otherwise delicious.
This place was quite average really. Friendly staff but my pasta could have been much better. Really not sure how they can claim to have a famous pink sauce. Was ok but in such a premium location I expected so much more.
We had the 1m pizza with 3 different toppings and they were all delicious! I didn't enjoy the gnocchi as much but I suspect that was just personal preference. We brought a cake as it was a friend's birthday, and we loved how the staff would drum as the cake was brought out - very festive! Would recommend booking beforehand as it can get quite busy.
Won't be going back here.
Poor Service, Poor food & overpriced.
The staff were not attentive, rude & condescending. They lacked proper English & communication skills they do not understand basic customer service skills. Staff stuffed up the order and went on to proceed to blame the customer no apology or anything, simply shameful.
Food that did come took a far too long & tasted awful. Far too expensive considering the poor quality food & service.
Booked for my birthday on a Saturday, was told we could only have table for 2 hours as Saturday's are busy (way to make your customers feel welcome!). When we arrived they were taking walk ins. It took 1 hour for someone to serve us and then another 1 hour for our food to arrive. The worst possible meal I've had in Sydney. Chicken - grilled flavourless dried chicken with 3 strips of veges which tasted even worse. Could not find a waiter to complain to as they all avoid eye contact in case they have to serve someone. Asked for table water, didn't get table water. Asked for salt came 30 mins later. Won't be going back, plenty of quality restaurants in Sydney don't waste your money.
Won't be going back.
Wait staff are inattentive and not helpful. Wait times are long for service (even getting the bill to leave). Food has hints of flair, but is definitely not reflective of the pricing.
If you are going I would steer clear from anything except for the steak or select pizzas, as it's pretty difficult to fail to cook a steak or pizza. In any case find the nearest dominos and save 500% on your meal.
Pros: view is nice and outdoor heating works. If going for drinks, it's not too bad although still on the expensive side.
Cons: restaurant, staff. Also, they don't split bills.
Fantastic. Service was great. Our waiter Rodrigo was super friendly and helpful, and very efficient. It was the first night of Vivid and the place was absolutely packed, but we were served quickly and the food came out really fast. We had 1.5m pizza - delicious! Especially the prosciutto one. Great night out.
Five star food and views but 3.5 star service.
The food is delicious and generous portions. The view of Darling Harbour, especially from the balcony is spectacular.
However there was bird poo on the glass (outdoor seating) and service from staff is hit and miss. Some staff are 5 stars and quick to serve us. Other staff say yes yes and never deliver (happened multiple times).
We stopped and had lunch here. Me and my wife had Fish and chips and son ordered kids calamari.
Mum and dad's meal came out. Kids meal, we had to ask when it was coming out. When it finally came out, it was enough for an adult.
Service wasnt great. Had to catch the attention of the waiters to get a drink, order meal and get bill!.was so hot there, no ac.
For the amount of service staff i shouldn't have to try and get someone to come over to the table.
Food was expensive overpriced and the service poor. (PLEASE WORRY ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT HOW YOU LOOK)
Pathetic service on a Friday night. This place really needs to hire staff who don't get drunk and bring them drinks that they didn't order and throw an attitude. I have been to this restaurant before and I had a good experience. But this was not expected at all.. I ll probably not go back again and won't suggest to my friends. Not worth it.. There are much better restaurants in Sydney with good food and a pleasant experience.
Christmas Day 2016 - seated and then left waiting for a waiter to take our order for over 20 minutes. Finally when we could get the attention of a waiter our order was taken, a long with our drink orders.
We finally received our 1 meter long pizza after 40 minutes, (pizza was good) still waiting for our drinks that we can see sitting on the bar for almost 20 minutes, after asking two different waiters for our drinks we finally got them, never received our water.
Complained to the manager and all he could say was "it's our busiest day of the year" it was not like they were understaffed, there were plenty of them just not focused on their customers, there was not one staff member who acknowledged us, asked us how our meal was? There was no customer service at all, as far as I'm concerned if it's your busiest day of the year or not. Your service should be the same no matter what day of the year it is.
Not sure I would ever go back.
I went to this branch on yesterday 11:30.
When I arrived in there
Just 2 table and us. But nobody serve us more than 10 minutes.
And i said 2 times please give me some water. But they ignored. And I feel very annoying.
Waitress looks like doesn't want to working
Very bad services.
Grate location . varieties options are on the menu . fair pricing .
Enjoyed the time with my wife on her birthday.
However we couldn't booked the table over the phone. No one answering the calls it takes us to web reservation.
Most importantly food would be much delicious if less salty. I saw many of us said the same. Management please give a thought about this matter.
