  We had our small wedding at the Gables on Finch, Simon and his team ensured the day ran perfectly and were very flexible in making sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. The high tea was delicious and food was abundant.

  We chose Gables on Finch as the venue for our wedding and we are extremely happy that we did so. We were first drawn to the grand old house, which suited our style and felt like us, but we soon found that Gables had everything else we wanted too. The garden was a lovely spot for the ceremony, inside there was plenty of room for our 115 guests. We chose a high tea instead of a formal meal, and everyone loved the food. The house and gardens made for a great backdrop for the photographer, too. The staff on the day were terrific, and the manager Simon, was very helpful in helping us plan the event the way we wanted, while offering useful ideas we hadn't considered. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Gables on Finch.

  The venue was beautiful and the high tea was a lovely experience. However, the menu was quite misleading. We ordered 2 teas each and did not find out until paying, that the second tea was charged additionally. This was bizarre as most high teas include unlimited tea and the menu did not state that additional teas would be charged.

  I flew down from Queensland to attend my best friends 80th birthday celebrations and was so happy I came. Wonderful to be with my friend and others and was so impressed with the friendly and helpful service.

  Today Greg and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. We were married on the 12th June 1982 and celebrated our marriage with a lunchtime reception at "The Gables" my former family home from 1966 - 1977 when my parents ran the reception rooms. Today my family went back for a high tea at lunchtime to the renamed Gables on Finch. Much has changed in 40 years but we are still here. Sadly our son-in-law and 2 grandsons were not able to join us due to last minute illness. Thank you to all the family for a lovely memory. It was wonderful to see Gables on Finch still going strong. Thank you to Simon and staff for a truly delicious high tea that they tailored to family allergies. Many thanks
