Great place for weekend for all family. There is a cafe which is great for me. Parents can watch their kids in warm place. I prefer this place for that otherwise could be so hard. Brrrr :)

Ice skating itself is good, would recommend the extra $5 for premium skate hire. Service at the cafe on the public rink left alot to be desired, had two staff ignore us for a few minute before begrudgingly serving us and then took another 10 minutes to make a milkshake with very few other people around. Not impressed with rosemary..

Decent pricing and nice food. I would like the "no throwing snowballs" rule to be more known though.

I come here quite a lot as my partner plays ice hockey so whilst he's skating I usually grab a coffee from the restaurant or cafe.
In regards to the public/cafe side - 5 star service, never been let down.
It is the actual restaurant and ice hockey side that lets this place down. My first time in Cabin 401 was actually on my birthday where I watched my partner play ice hockey as usual, and then we got dinner. Not one smile, greeting or "how are you" from the staff, when I went to to bar to grab a drink the lady who served me made no eye contact, didn't tell me how much anything was (just took my money then gave me my change). I have been served by the same person so many times and at first I thought that maybe she was having a bad day so that's fair enough, but every single time she has been rude, unnaproachable and unwelcoming. It has got to the point now that when I am watching my partner play ice hockey and want a coffee I have to walk around to the public skate/cafe side because the staff in there are much nicer and I'd rather not be left feeling like an inconvenience to a staff member who can't be bothered to even fake a smile!
The only good thing that I can honestly say about Cabin 401 is that the food is amazing - there is not denying that!
At the end of the day, your staff make your business. They are the face of the business. If they cant provide 5 star customer service they shouldn't be there.

Great place for skating either on your own or with friends. Price is reasonable, lots of equipment available for learning as well.

Absolutely amazing place, great customer service. I injured my head quite badly but the medical staff were amazing and they treated me well until the ambulance came! I definitely recommend trying ice skating, i was just unlucky.

Best Ice rink I've been to. Great interior, clean, and the wall mural really sells the impression of spending a day on a frozen winter lake.

They have skating aids you can hire for the youngsters, worth the $10 (young master 7 and little miss 5 really enjoyed). And it's definitely worth the extra $5 to go for the "premium" hire skate, if you don't have your own.

A bit expensive to go regularly, but well worth the occasional outing

What a great experience! Lovely friendly staff, and the cafe was also great with plenty of gluten free options, at no extra charge. How refreshing is that!?
