First time at the Civic Theater.
Watched a great show - The Russian Ballet.
    First class entertainment.
We are used to the hassle of the Opera House Sydney so the fact that you can park nearby, walk across a lovely park to the Theater, then have the choice to sip a glass of wine in our seats while we waited for the performance to start. Lovely theater staff (Richard)
Please (MANAGEMENT) don't change a thing.
This is an architectural and artistic Icon that does Newcastle proud.

A fantastic old theatre that echoing with 19th century class, but full of forward looking art.

I would love to be able to rate this higher but I just can't. I have traveled around the world and been to theatres in New York, London and All over Europe and Civic Theatre just scrapes in as a pass. The seating is average, a low incline so if there is anyone slightly taller than you in the rows in front you won't be able to see much. The stage is small and this stops a lot of performances from coming to Newcastle. It is well organised for what it is but my thougts are that Newcastle is ready for something a little better. I enjoy live performances so I would recommend going to any shows that tour though here.

A hopeless place to access by private transport if you are disabled. Good by Newcastle. Never again at the Civic

I thought the seating was quite well spaced for one of the performances I attended. Parking is alright, would be better if the train station still operated.

An absolutely beautiful theatre. It must be a thrill to perform in such a lovely venue. There are two bars, one upstairs and the other downstairs. You can usually get a car park nearby on King Street or Layman Street. Failing that there are usually spaces available in the car park on Queen Street.
