Didn't expect much from a cafe of Healesville but to my surprise food was actually quite good and service was pretty nice too.

Really nice cafe to have a meal. We had the tofu scramble, and while it tasted quite good, the portion size was tiny for a $20 meal. Could have done with an extra piece of toast at least.

Well worth the stop! Amazing food, wonderfully friendly staff and beautiful set up. Still yet to see this roaming chicken they spoke of :p

I think the warmth and quality of this place has left with the previous owners. My experience today was very disappointing.
The lentil soup was very flavoursome and it was a good, fair portion. I had ordered a smashed avocado on toast and what I got was a tiny amount of avocado on two pieces of toast. The second piece of toast underneath was not even half covered with avocado!! I told the waitress about this afterwards and all she had to say was, '"ok" and actually walked off without another word.
When we wanted to order coffee and cake after our meal, we waited about 10 mins before having to call someone over and still the table hadn't been cleared. Some of the staff just seemed a bit unconcerned and just cold. Not to mention the woman at the coffee machine. I was interested in the coffee that they serve and I had asked her about it and it seemed as though I was bothering her, answering me very shortly or answering me with the price of the beans when I did not ask anything about the cost.
I felt very unwelcome, in comparison to the previous occasions I had been to this cafe when the previous owners were around. I am very disappointed about the service and the care given when we voiced our issues with our meal and general questions. I will not be returning.response / report this review -

Good food. Great ice coffee!! The burger was good only thing that was annoying was them placing some sauce under the burger so if you went to eat it like normal, your hands were covered in this sticky sauce. Still, the food was good. My friend committed the he's $4 chip with the toastie was a joke think there was 10? 😂😂

Coffee was a great starter for our breakfast, then followed by the food. Out of all the cafes we've eaten in, this one nails it with the most wonderfully done poached eggs on our sourdough toasts. Loved the fireplace plus the rather dreamy-like interior.

I had their local French toast and it was so delicious done. And their Egg Ben is a must to try. Great services, great atmosphere, great music.. definitely good to pop by if u heading to yarra valley. 👍🏻
