Normal range of pub food. Lines to the order dinner and drinks can be glacially slow. Kids love the playground, so most of the shortcomings can be forgiven.

This a central hub in the area. Kids eat free on some nights and there is a big play area for them.

We go there because it’s easy and the kids can play but we don’t go because of the quality of the food.

3 stars says it all, for me at least. Not bad but not great but certainly ok for the money.

Had dinner in the Bistro and as usual a total dissapointment. I’ve given this place chance after chance over the years hoping it will get better but it has only gotten worse. The food is totally overpriced and always has been. It’s of low standard/quality for the price. The Bistro, Toilets, Carpets, Floor, kids area are filthy. Black floors the place needs a damn good clean. The kids play area is disgusting. Floor is falling apart all the slides and games are covered in grime.
I can’t understand how reviewers can give CHH more than 1 star, at that and how people continue to go there. The area cries out for a decent family restaurant, good food, value for money. Is it that hard??
The staff are pleasant and helpful but unfortunately this isn’t enough and we won’t be backever!

Hopefully a decision maker at CHH reads this and pulls their finger out.

Was greeted with a smile on arrival and food tasted good. Tables were a bit tight to move behind when being seated but they have a great play area for the kids and hold major functions and popular bands play here too. My only gripe was my mums food was served 10min after everyone else got thiers but they gave her a free desert for the wait so my rating goes from 3 stars to 4, i will go again.

Meals are reasonably priced, service always friendly and a big kids area. In saying that the Kids area could do with a intensive clean!

Typical pub food, always been happy with our meals

Servings are generous but lacking flavour. Large kids play area, but needs a thorough clean

Our dinner last night was our worst dining experience in more than 30 years.
In the past our meals at Chelsea Heights have been quite satisfactory but last night, while the staff were very pleasant the actual meal was terrible.
The soup was not even lukewarm and had to be sent back. For the main course the grilled fish had no sign of having been grilled, more like steamed and it was tasteless and served luke warm with soggy chips.
The other couple ordered steak and vegetables and the steak was tough and unchewable.
They were given salad rather than the vegetables they ordered.
It will be a long time before we return.

Good food, value for money. Friendly staff deliver food to the table. On Mother's Day my daughter asked for a desert that wasn't on offer on the menue for that night, the young female staff member went to ask if it was available and yes it was my daughter was Happy. That is good service in my opinion. The bar staff were helpful and friendly too.

we went to chelsea heights the waitress who served us came over with the meals l accidently instructed her to place the wrong plate in the wrong place l realised my mistake and corrected the placement she then proceeded to slam the plate down and roll her eyes at me l asked her if she was haveing a bad day to that she sprayed me with a verbal tirade ending in her walking away throwing her hands about l then left the table to address this quietly with her to this she shouted at me to get out of her pub when l looked at her in disbelief asking why she said to go and get fucked as she stormed back into the kitchen l was left there in shock

We had dinner at the Chelsea Heights Hotel on Sunday night. The food was pretty ordinary for what you paid. I ordered the porterhouse steak and it was full of sinue, fat and definitely not tasty. The chefs don't know what medium rare is either. They charge $32 for it. What a ripoff. They also sat us in the section next to the main entrance which was quite dark and no one else sitting in this particular area. I guess they were hoping that we wouldn't look to closely at the food we were ordering due to the poor lighting. They were wrong! I sent my meal back as it was overcooked. I'd never go back for a meal here again.

Nice enough. Nothing too special. Outdoor area is nice to have a beer in, but you're really just in a fenced off area of a car park.

Kids area is great but a bit dirty, kids love it! Food has improved dramatically in the 2016/17. Pretty good service, standard pub fare, prices reasonable. Meal sizes good.

Been there plenty of times over many years. It was the place of choice for many family lunches and always had good food for everyone. I believe they recently had a change of management and subsequently altered and removed some items from their menu, although there still seems to be plenty of choice.
The bar offers enough choice of drinks for most people, although a more varied choice of beers on tap would be more ideal, although this may not suit the common demographic of the area.
The playground is large enough to entertain most kids for the duration of a meal, and close enough to plenty of tables to ensure their safety.
Overall a nice play for lunch and a chat with friends and family.
