This guy really cares about providing good customer service. This guy closes at 8 and i called him at 7:50 saying i was on the train and I wouldn't be back in the area until 8ish. He stayed opened for me until 8:30 just so i could get my order. The chips and gravy were amazing! This guy is a champion of small business.

I have only been here once recently as it was in the area, but normally go to the one in Rowville. The Charcoal Chicken in Rowville is seriously amazing! Everything at the Rowville one, the chips are always fresh they basically make every batch fresh right in front of you, and always have a really huge range of salads too. The Mountaingate one is terrible, it was about 7pm and they didnt have any salads at all and didnt look like there were ever any there at all. So very little variety. It looks like the chips they gave me where already sitting there way before i came in and were just warming as i never saw them put any on, just scoop the chips they already had there, and no other customers were there when i went in it was completely empty and the chips just looked and tasted like they were old warmed up chips, not hot at all, just warm, and the gravy was very watery looking, not that nice at all. Also the chip serving was quite a bit less then i normally get from the Rowville one too.. So not as generous.. The Rowville gravy is seriously amazing and nothing compares to the Rowville one so far. The only thing about the Rowville one that isnt that great is the salads have a little too much celery for my liking but in general everything even the salads are delish.. I wont be back to the mountain gate one again though, i would prefer to just keep going to the one i know is good and would even travel to the Rowville one if i lived further out in the area. Maybe the owner needs to go and try out the Rowville one and see the difference to get a feel of what is good.. Just a tip if the owner reads this.. to better your business:)

last time i reviewed i gave this place 5 stars but since the new guy has came in it is terrible, i dont even eat the stuff i just pick it up for my friend warwick, but i can not wait there any longer. he is literally on his own trying to run the show serouisly mate your not me, get some help

i ruv da chicken. but place need more dog burger. 10/1000 would eat again but i want more chicken under my arms and in my foreskin. HI DOUGIE i love the dog, give me more because i ruv the chicken

Not very good since they changed owners. Chips gave me chapped lips, the schnitzel burger wasn't at all nice. They don't have their extensive range of soft drinks anymore and the place seems to have gone downhill overall. There must be better in the locality.
