Came here for lunch on a Friday.
We sat right opposite the kitchen, it wasn’t noisy and it was nice to see the food being made.
If you don’t like open kitchen there are other seating options.
The food is amazing, such care is taken with each dish.
Perfect place for sharing plates.
The wine list is extensive and there are quite a few unique wines and options to choose from.
Highly recommend.
Great drink selection, the atmosphere is refined while still being relaxed and cozy, amazing service AND food. The menu is the perfect size to be able to do everything to a good standard. It’s not often you find a place that can do everything even passably well and they’ve got it figured out.
I recently had my 30th birthday in the Faraday private dining room, and it was EVERYTHING and more! I took a bit of a risk as I had never eaten (or even been) to Carlton Wine Room before but had only ever heard great things, and they absolutely lived up to their reputation. The booking process was easy and communication was great. The food on the day was incredible (I can't stop thinking about the stracciatella and mushroom entree) and the drinks were obviously fabulous. They let me into the room early to style it and the entire day was stress free and so much fun. Thanks for having us!!
We hosted a small engagement party of 20 (including 5 kids) in the private cellar downstairs. We absolutely loved the food and the service was impeccable. I believe the gentleman looking after us was named Ryan, he was so attentive. Glasses always filled and he did an amazing job servicing the group on his own. He was also so great to the kids, getting them extra bread when asked and giving them paper and pencils to draw. Highly recommend and would most definitely book again. Thanks to all the team!
I was so excited to dine here as I had read so many good reviews. I came here with my hubby to enjoy a nice night out for my birthday. However I left disappointed.
Whilst most of the food was very good ( the Rib Eye and Cauliflower Salad were both excellent) the Fried Potatoes were overcooked and oily and dense on the inside. They were so bad, I sent them back. When the second plate came out it was only marginally better. Whilst I understand that these things happen, it was the service that really bothered me. The staff were just not very friendly. When we arrived no one acknowledged or welcomed us for a good few minutes, even though they were walking by doing other things, a simple hello and smile would have been nice. In fact we barely got a smile all night.. When I sent the fried potatoes back, there was no apology or anything. They just didnt seem to care. And that's what was most disappointing.
