I was a regular user of the facilities that are convenient and affordable. 1 star because eventually found serial poor communication, respectfulness and professionalism from the owner. Probably spent close to a thousand dollars over a few months through coaching, bookings and restringing. Owner comes across very friendly and professional at first but has a tendency to become very passive aggressive and difficult to deal with.
Recently changes coaches on me without any notice. The new coach had no idea he was coaching me and started my session late, didnt know I was meant to be his regular coach at all and neither did I. Next week, the same coach was there for my session and I cancelled. I was asked to pay for this session and when I mentioned it was unfair I was quickly told to "not bother coming back to any of the facilities". When I called to clarify and resolve the situation the phone call was not answered. I eventually paid the fee but received no apology or explanation for the poor communication. Instead, snide remarks that I was asking for too much from the academy.
Overall, if you just want a place to play tennis and noy deal with any staff, this is an okay place. If you want something more than facilities, look elsewhere in my opinio. Professionalism, communication and respect non existent from the owner.
Great location and excellent facilities.
Derek and the team at Cagney Tennis are very professional and friendly. Have always given us great service and facilities to use. Highly recomend.
Terrible service and quality courts. Completely run down and only two possible courts available to use. This causes issues with hiring courts because they are overbooked and people turn up and try to kick you off the court. Never again
Derek is extremely professional. Whether you want to improve your game or just have fun, the knowledge and passion Derek brings to sessions is invaluable. I have been to several tennis centres in the past and Cagney Tennis Academy is by far the best experience I’ve ever had.
