My experience is the older staff are terrible, gave me incorrect details about a product, walked off aswell by mumbling then never came back. If you dont want to work there anymore cash in your super and rack off is my advice, dont screw it up for the community!

Bunnings is a great place to work!
Team work overall is great and within the smaller team you are attahed to it's awesome.

Staff need to lift their game.
Service desk staff member gave incorrect advice about availability of home delivery option. Another (floor walking) staff member wasn't even aware of that option "I've only been here 2 days".
On another visit staff member in lighting gave incorrect advice about replacement bulbs for a tactic bathroom device - resulting in need for a return visit to exchange wrong pieces.
Attendant in the paint shop enjoyed a long casual chat with a couple of customers while the queue of people waiting grew lengthier. Friendly service is all well and good but you need to keep it moving guys.
Seems the standard of service is on the decline. Complacency creeping in since Masters'' closure?response / report this review -

I like very much going there. As well as being a place for interesting and practical items I find the staff generate good vibes by going out of their way to help, being pleasant, and generous with their knowledge. Don't find that level of service at all other placesin fact it's almost rare. I like that Bunnings employs a mixture of good staff and a noticeable number of older staff who you can tell love being there. Good on you Bunnings.

Cafe staff were not friendly very blunt and bad attitude. The coffee was terrible, tasted burnt! First time we’ve been to the cafe there and definitely won’t be back.
Had lots of help outside when I was looking for plants with Joel I think his name was. Very nice and helpful.response / report this review -

Pretty much has everything you need when it comes to gardening and home improvement. Trolleys can be a bit wild though so hold on tight

Worse Bunnings store I have EVER been to. I stood in the deserted tool section needing assistance and unable to find any for 40 minutes. During this time a young woman came in and was - miraculously - immediately approached by one of the previously invisible staff. I asked at the tool section counter about sanding pads for an orbital sander and the woman who answered was rude and unhelpful and simply waved off vaguely saying "over there". I walked the aisles and found a young man who was helpful but when I finally made it to the checkout, the obnoxious woman here did not know how to work the tap and go card reader correctly and suggested that my card was faulty. Embarrassed and now angered by her incredible rudeness, I left the store empty handed. I will NEVER EVER go back. (AND there is nothing wrong with the card I was trying to use). The young man deserves a star but he was outweighed by the rest of the AWFUL experience of shopping at Belconnen Bunnings. One star given, because unable to post with no stars.

I was looking for an obscure itemsome gentleman (staff) asked if he could help. Directed me to exact spot aisles and aisles away from where he was. Also provided some wisdom on how to go about solving the problem. Great!

Of all the Bunnings stores in Canberra, this one is my favourite. The daytime staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Not to sure about the casual evening staff because I usually visit during business hours.

The young guy at the returns/information counter was rude and had absolutely no clue what he was talking about. He was quite happy to sit back and smugly argue rather then help me out. Never returning to this store under any circumstances.

When I arrived I politely informed 2 ladies at the Trade entrance that the disabled parking spot was full of trollies. They told me they couldn't do anything about it and someone else would take care of it. They then went back to standing there chatting and doing nothing. After about 20 minutes inside I came back to find the only remaining disabled spot still full of trollies. Message received. Disabled people are not welcome at Bunnings.

Reasonable selection of goods. Very poor service, I was in the tools section for an hour and not a single sale person was there to answer a question. I looked around and noticed two staffs were chatting away without helping any customers.

Love this Bunnings.. like any other Bunnings it is impossible to get help from the staff. They are hard to find and mostly unhelpful BUT if you know what you are looking for it is great, heaps of parking always too.
