I wanted to build a large retaining wall and contacted Scott. Although he didn't want to inspect the property unles I pay a substanctial fee , I had a look at photos and told me I would waste my money, which I thought was very honest.

I had Scott's team concrete the patio area in my back yard, replace a damaged retaining wall across the back fence line and replace the fence.

The retaining wall was built roughly half a metre in front of where it was supposed to be, which reduces the amount of useable space I have in my already small backyard. The concrete also doesn't seem to have cured properly, as it's already started to crack, is brittle in some parts with bits of the edges starting to break away, and it has a chalky finish.

It just seemed like Scott was in a rush to get the job done and didn't care about the quality of the work. I was up north when the work was initially done so I only realised the extent of the problems when I came home a few weeks later. I brought up these issues when I saw the work in person, but Scott brushed off my concerns and bluntly made it clear he has no interest in rectifying the defective work.
