A very popular bakery - always clean - can be very busy but the service processes work well & the queue moves quickly.
The staff are always smiling and friendly Prices are ridiculously high for only average standard food

Most overated eatery in the macedon ranges. Quality of food us below standard, service was average, coffee was slow to come out and made with no care.

Delicious baked goods of both the sweet and savoury varieties, and friendly service by the staff. The only thing letting the store down is the speed at which you are served during busy times, which is largely caused by the bottleneck of them only having one cash register and EFTPOS terminal. The whole operation would benefit from having one or two more points to pay and order from.

Lacks personal service, unable to order a weak coffee & a normal strength due to high tech systems, unimpressed. Yes they got the order wrong even though I queried it b4 paying. The coffee lady misinterpreted the order as I thought she would. Pies were OK. Dispense with the buzzers & return to a bit of old fashioned service. Also don't ignore customers waiting to be served, stop looking at the wall turn around & see if there are customers waiting, very rude.

Outstanding pastries, sweets. A historic local bakery, winner of numerous awards everything from the freshly baked breads, to the hot pies are a winner. Try their multiple award winning vanilla slice and you'll wonder how you've ever lived without it.

Prefer to give 3.5. Food a 3 atmosphere is probably a 5, entertainment is very good. Would recommend etc

Great country bakery, great pies and pasties. Good clean seating area, toilets and everything you need for a quick lunch on a day trip to Mt Macedon

We will definitely stop here again for the famous vanilla slices. Delicious. The slice is light and fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. With the hard pastry balancing out the soft middle.

Good old fashioned bakery. Always plenty on offer including freshly made rolls and sandwiches. Well staffed so even though it is busy and crowded there is never a long wait. Good coffee and everything tastes deliciously home made. A sign says it won "Best Vanilla Slice" for a few years running

Great country bakery come cafe. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff are friendly. It can be quite busy which can mean a small wait to be served but overall pleasant enough. My parents stop there for lunch/afternoon tea every time they are in Woodend.
