Never had been here before but now I will always go back! Loved the calm atmosphere, the friendliness, and of course the service. Everything was great!

I purchased a gift voucher for my mother in law for a massage and facial and spent $170. Unfortunately she became very unwell and called first thing to advise she couldn’t make the appointment. She was told the entire value of the voucher would be lost. I understand businesses have cancellation policies, however it is not clear on the website that you will lose the full value of your voucher. It simply says ‘to avoid losing your booking’ and says nothing about forfeiting the full amount. As others have said this is a very dodgy practice and I have reported it to both Consumer Affairs and the ACCC. Having been to this place previously I will certainly not be going back particularly given the rude and cold reception from the staff and their unconscionable business practices.

Very disapointed, I tried to reschedule a pregnancy massage as I'm unwell because I know from past experience that when im sick and have massage it spreads the bug and makes me feel worse, and they said because it was 23.5 hours outside of appointment not 24 they would charge me! Very unreasonable. I was planning to return again for another massage or two but now won't be back.

Arranged a treatment for my girlfriend recently. From the get go these guys were awesome, helpful with all my ludicrous requests and really got on board with what I was doing. Girlfriend said she adored the experience also. Sarah on the front desk was first class!

My Daughter and I had the most wonderful treatment this morning. We are on holiday from Sunshine Coast QLD. Last week I booked a surprise "Melt" treatment for my Daughter in the couples room, for myself & my Daughter. When we arrived the Lady's were so lovely & friendly, the Melt treatment was AMAZING the lady's who did our treatments are fantastic, it was the best 2 hours. I would highly recommend Body Freedom Urban Spa Retreat to take your body & Mind to a relaxed experience. Thank you Body Freedom when I visit Melbourne some day I will definitely be back.

I recently booked myself, my sister and my two nieces (one of whom was pregnant) in for multiple treatments one afternoon this week. Two of us had vouchers and the others were full paying customers. A couple of hours before the treatments we learnt that our family pet who was 12 years old was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and the three ladies where distraught. I called the Body Freedom immediate to advise that we had a personal situation and see if there was anything we could do given the circumstances. The receptionist and ladies providing treatments were lovely, but the manager I dealt with was narrow minded and cold. She refused to be flexible and insisted that if we don't turn up we forfeit everything including both vouchers and have to pay for all four people. Whilst I appreciate this business has a cancellation policy that it well documented, things happened and life often throws us curve balls. The inflexibility & refusal to even try and find a mid-point (e.g. perhaps a couple of us come in but the other two reschedule) was disgraceful. The manager was cold, unmoving and unsympathetic. Left no other choice, we turned up and had our treatments which we all thought were average and want be back. Nor can will any of us recommend this establishment to anyone else in the future.

I've had multiple massages and facials at Body Freedom Urban Day Spa Retreat and they were so amazing I have referred many of my friends there. However, my experience just now was beyond underwhelming. There was a miscommunication about my booking time. I am very busy (hence why I needed the massage and facial) and thought I was booked in for 4:30pm tomorrow however I was notified it was actually 4:30pm today. They couldn't reschedule me and charged my credit card for the full amount!

Beautiful pregnancy massage on the futon. I wasn't sure if I had fallen asleep and was dreaming because I was so relaxed. Quite possibly the best massage I've ever had!

I have been frequenting Body Freedom since the business established many years ago. I always request a voucher from Body Freedom for my birthday, usually 'The Melt' package and it's the highlight of my year! It is always amazing and I enjoy every minute of the two hour session, my only complaint is the time goes too fast! I have been to a few day spas and this one is by far the best day spa in Melbourne. The staff are lovely, the place is gorgeous, and the products used are always beautiful. If you are a visitor to Melbourne and need to unwind after a shopping extravaganza or a local that just needs a little pampering then this is the place for you. I will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone. If I'm willing to travel south across the river, you too will also be converted!
