Betta extensions were unresponsive to our requests and changed the design and overcharged for poor quality bricklayer work and roofing which was not what we specified on the contract. Had to call bmg roofing myself to fix leaks. The deck but is not level as proved by the blind installer.

Top quality, terrific professional teams resulting in a beautiful new home that has stood the test of time and still looks as good as the day it was finished - and that was 10 years ago. We had a fairly major renovation (second floor with bedrooms, bathrooms and rumpus are) added to our house and all through it, Betta Extensions were fantastic.
Their price came in on the lower end of other quotes received however as they had been recommended to us via word of mouth, we went with them and I cannot be happier. Many of the 'extras' which other renovation companies were going to charge were covered.
Everyone involved from Victor who was able to engineer our renovation where some other companies said it would be impossible to the boys (Luke & Adam) who were fantastic in obliging our time table and even showing our young children their rooms for the first time when it was just a skeletal frame made the experience great.
They even fixed some of the creaking in our house which were there before they added a second floor by reinforcing walls which was above and beyond the service we expected.

I contacted Beta Extensions in Mitcham to quote my home extension build. I called and had a great conversation with the lady who answered and sent in all my plans via email. 2 weeks later I had to call back, as I didn't receive a phone call or email or quote. I was put through to Victor. He immediately started telling me the cost of selling and moving house vs extending?? Then told me he would not build the extension we had drawn up: other than saying "oh it will be a lot of ground work and excavation, the design won't work" I asked him why he thought it wouldn't work and he rambled on about cost..to which I saidcost is my problem not yours. I asked him why he didn't bother to email me back to let me know he would not be quoting the job, and the excuse was "I got back from holiday and I got busy" well, if this is how you treat people or potential customers who are willing and ready to do a massive building project..then I would suggest you stay away. He sounds stale, old fashioned and rude. Thankfully I have 2 other local companies who are really nice and said it would be no problem to quote and build. I'll go with one of them. They have much better customer service and I'd think probably better work ethic.
