Great spot for a lunch in the City. Brilliant value lunch specials and if you have a bit longer the main lunch menu is worth a look. Great treed alfresco area fronting the terrace.

Had a pork chop which was marinated with Rum or Brandy. Was too thick to begin with and undercooked. Pretty much tasteless from meat to sauce although the presentation was nice. Cost 41 bucks plus water.

I liked this place. Really nice atmosphere in the alfresco area on a summer day. The staff were efficient and polite but understaffed. I wanted a second beer and couldn't get any attention. Lost a sale. The lunch special is reasonably good value by Perth standards - $25 for good quality lunch and a drink (and they let you choose a decent beer - it isn't just the cheap beers).

A large group of us went to this place for a hens party. The scones were under cooked inside so they were sent back. We were told a new batch of scones would be made. A new batch arrived however the scones were worse. They were rock hard and inedible. Staff were advised again and removed the scones. The excuse given was that the dough was overworked. No alternative offered and only $4 discount which is a joke.
For a 5star hotel, this is abominable!

Attended for a reserved dinner. The food was lovely, the waitstaff were great, and our main waiter was very helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable about all the items on the menu.

We left a night without a refund from our nightmarish experience. 3 cockroaches were found in an 8 hr period. No coffee available for Sunday brunch. Nude paintings in Rm#2. TV didn't work. This is a two star hotel that doesn't even measure up to that. Worst lodging experience of my life.

Restaurant review only: Exceedingly disappointing. Service was poor, and while some elements of the meal were positive, most were lackluster. (The potato gratin side was delicious, although it was forgotten from the original order and arrived once the mains were mostly finished) The chocolate mint mousse dessert stands out as a particular failure, with under set mouse, and the use of a large quantity of a green mint sauce that would be more at home in a dentist's chair than a restaurant.

From the outside of building you would never guess their was an oasis within. I stayed last night with a friend and i booked the Deluxe King Room (Room 10).when i approached the receptionist we were greeted witha warm smile etc after formalities we were shown to our room personally which was a bonus upon entering she proceeded to inform us about the remote which I might add was cool and other rhings we needed to know and then left.
I was left a personal note thankinf me for my stay which i might add is a wonderful thing especially as cusromer service seems to be disappearing.
we ate at the restaurant which was amazing and the poor waiter looked like he was run of his feet but to his credit he was polite full of information and right on the money.
The bed was subliminal and I got ti tell you when we slept we slept well and wonderfully rested.
If you want to stay in a wonderful hotel at a reasonable price stay here bottle shop (Celebrations) 1 street away and to the right (Hay St) as well as a small convience store. Not ro far from most things including Kings Park.
This room has everything including an iPad a huge bath, Room Service

I love this place but can't ever get a good night's sleep. It might be noise from downstairs, the small beds, strange timers on the AC so it's never the right temp or the mozzies from the long drain in the bathroom. The food is fantastic as are the drinks and service.
