Make sure you have deep pockets if your coming here. This has to be the most expensive in Perth. Not the staffs fault, they have clearly been told to push people towards the most expensive procedures The vets are very good at what they do and the staff are very good but definitely get a second opinion from other vets. It may save you thousands and your pet won't have unnecessary procedures done.

I would only ever take my dog and two cats to Vet24. The reception staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The vets and nurses are thorough and compassionate. The prices are quite reasonable for an 24 hour emergency clinic. It gives me great piece of mind that there is somewhere open to see my pet at any hour. Would highly recommend this clinic to all!

I took my dog here after he had found his way to some rat poison at a friends place. They gave him some medicine that made him throw up. We were told no rat poison came up, but then was recommended to bring him back for a blood test the next day. The vet who brought him out did not consult us said he was totally fine and happy. The first vet said we should bring him back. Reading the reviews from other people its very disappointing to see people's love for their animals be treated in a money making manner like this all because we care.

The veterinarians, nurses and admin staff that I dealt with during my visit to Vet24 were outstanding! I brought my 15 year old dog in yesterday for lump removal surgery and he's already running around again. Thanks guys!

I don't necessarily agree with reviewing anyone in the medical profession. There is so much emotion involved that it is rarely helpful to anyone. But if I could give Balcatta Vet24 six stars I would. They are all such beautiful people and keep such a lovely balance of professionalism and friendliness in their clinic. I have been a client for 20 years (not just rushing in for after hours emergencies full of panic) and i trust the staff here with my pets 100%. I will never go anywhere else. It's only the best for my fur family.

We have only ever used Vet24 for emergencies. Being so close to home, it was convenient when in need of prompt assistance. Sadly, I would not recommend them to anyone. When we bought our beloved old boy in, with a small drip bleeding from a nick in his gum (that wouldn't stop after a few hours), the service was rushed, in-attentive, and dismissive. He was our adored dog of 12 years, and it was clear to us there was something seriously wrong. We were distressed, worried, and scared. We were provided with zero support, and only one choice of care plan. We agreed to treatment (several thousand dollars worth, over $3k in the end), but when that didn't work there was apparently nothing else to be done. They requested they put him down there and then -- this is via a phone call!! We came to collect him (our dedicated vet could send him off at home) and the head nurse was cold, rushed, and disinterested; simply demanding we settle the account prior to even seeing our dog. When our darling hound came out, he was bleeding uncontrollably and a thousand times worse than when he went in. There was no compassion shown, nothing explained, just a demand for our $$ and then a hurried push out the door. I understand that an emergency department could be a stressful place to work in, but if you can't find it in yourself to show some mercy, care & humanity when delivering a death sentence, and when greeting the parents of a fur-baby who is facing his final hours, you are no longer in the right role. These guys made a very harrowing and awful experience a whole lot more distressing, simply by showing zero heart and that's not even going into the fact that their suggested treatment was, as confirmed by our own vet, an insufficient approach that was never going to fix the problem anyway. If we went elsewhere for treatment, our beautiful dog may still have been here with us today. But- Vet24's inadequate care & money driven approach, and total arrogance knowing we were a captive audience and couldn't go elsewhere at 7pm on a Sunday night, essentially robbed us not only of our money, but also took the life of our dog. We now curse them every time we drive past, and hope that those who work there have heavy shoulders for the way they treat both customers and their pets, and the grief that they have caused. They should be ashamed of themselves!!! If you love your dog (or cat) and want to know those offering care do too Would advise you go elsewhere, especially in an emergency. This place is horrible & we will never forgive them for the way they treated both our darling dog & us. All who work there should hand their heads in shame.

Just rushed my girl (dog) there at 8pm she had a fight with a cat and had a cut eye. Was seen too promptly and my girl was checked thoroughly even given a second opinion by the other vet. Was given antibiotics and eye stuff and was allowed to pay the rest of the bill the next day. All done and dusted within a hour. Very happy. They said they will forward the relivent information to my normal vet for a check up tomorrow :)

Friendly but incompetent staff and very expensive.
We took our dog in who had cut her eyelid about 30mins prior. Spoke to the girl at the front and explained what happened, and she proceeded to ask us bizarre unrelated questions like "has she been vomiting?". We then had to wait with our dog's bloody eye in reception for about 40 minutes being totally ignored by reception. There was practically no one else in the vet. After 40 mins a staff memeber approached us and said "Ok so let's have a look, your dog has eaten some chocolate and is sick correct?" And we looked at each other in shock and said "Ah no, she CUT her EYE". How they got that wrong is beyond me.
We went into a room shortly after. Consultation lasted about 5 mins and we were charged $200.
Based on our experience I cannot recommend this place unless you have no other alternatives.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Terribly expensive where the primary focus appears to be making money and NOT caring for animals. We paid $200 for a consultation and a small dose of liquid medication - after waiting and being triaged and then misdiagnosed!! When I enquired about a second appointment I was told this would include further 'tests' to establish the problem. Decided to go elsewhere and after a recommendation visited Swan Vet where the problem was immediately diagnosed and our TOTAL bill was $74. This review speaks for itself, I wouldn't recommend Balcatta Vet to anyone.

I've been taking my Beagle Jessie to Vet24 for the last few years for both general and emergency consults. The staff are always so helpful and the vets have always communicated the care she needs clearly to me. The best thing about Vet24 is that if she needs blood work or anything else, they can do it all at the same hospital, I don't have to move her around- which is so good when you don't have much time on your hands! I had both my young dogs de-sexed at Vet24 recently, they have healed perfectly and had no complications from surgery. The staff are all so friendly and professional, I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. Thanks Vet24 you are outstanding.

Very knowledgeable and compassionate. Beautiful clinic. Everything you could want from your vet. We drive over an hour just to see you guys without hesitation.
