We had a great experience at Melbourne BMW purchasing our first BMW car. With outstanding customer service from Peter Fedorov.
He looked after us professionally and answered all ours questions responsively and kindly. Thank you Peter and Melb BMW team again for making ours delivered day easy, smooth and exceptional experience.

We highly recommend this BMW dealership to you all.

Would like to thank Joe, Michael, Blake and team for the purchase of our BMW. We have been more than impressed with their professionalism, service, and knowledge during our purchase. It made our purchase a very pleasurable experience, and we highly recommend Melbourne BMW to anyone looking to purchase. Thank you once again, Tim and Stacey.
P.S The coffee was great too!

Couldn’t recommend more highly! Purchased a 2nd hand car through Joe Wilson- No pressure, very knowledgeable, was honest and provided great communication from start to finish- Highly recommend him.
Very well looked after throughout the whole process from the young ladies on reception to Chantal in finance(also highly recommend). Made the whole experience very simple and enjoyable.

Between January and July this year, I dealt closely with Andy Nguyen at Melbourne BMW over a car purchase. I found the experience totally positive in terms of Andy's communication, organisation and professionalism. Andy was attentive and responsive to calls, test drives, questions, issues and paperwork. Follow-up after sales service (again from Andy) has been terrific. Many thanks to Andy and the team he works with.

I have been a bmw customer for more than 2 plus years. This time when I visited bmw showroom for regular check up I got a very cold response from bmw team. This has never happened. Was told to wait in lounhe. Was waiting for 20-30 minutes but nobody bothered to check .further person sitting next to me was treated well and was looked after warmly but looks like I was invisible. Finally decided to go and find someone who then helped me get my car back. If not disrespectful it is atleast rude from my perspective. This has never happened in last 2 years at bmw. Left feeling really bad .

    Part 2:

Can someone explain me what are these marks on my bmw tyres (please find attached the image)? My car is always serviced at bmw

Revolting experience with Service team and especially Steve Donoghue. Firstly, the Service team messed up our standard car service because they forgot to fix something on the Thursday we booked the car in for service. Before things hit the roof, Steve told my wife to bring the car back the next day (Friday).

It seems like Steve forgot that my wife has to now unexpected go into work late because of BMW Melbourne's error. My wife arranged with Steve to pick the car up at 6pm. Unfortunately, my wife was running a little late due to unexpectedly worser than the already usually bad peak hour traffic on Kingsway. At around 545pm, my wife notified Steve that she will be running around 10 minutes late. Steve was unhappy. He became condescending and threatened to leave the car locked up over the weekend (which we cannot because we were leaving overseas and the other important things were attached to the car keys). Closer to and after 6pm, Steve repeatedly called and bullied my wife over the phone by yelling at her that she is making him leave work later than usual. My wife kindly requested for Steve to leave the car keys with one of the Sales Team or Receptionist. Steve refused and told her 'No one will be here after 6pm' and hung up on her.

At around 610PM, my worried wife had to get out of the Uber and ran to the dealership. Digressing, the Uber driver heard all the yelling and on his own initiative drove to the dealership to check whether my wife managed to pick up the car. When she got to the dealership, Steve was no longer there but the keys were with the Receptionist. Moreover, heaps of Sales reps were still around.

If you customer had to unexpectedly come back again because of your mistake, the very least you could have done is to wait an extra few minutes!

We lodged a formal complaint with BMW Australia and they decided that it is 'out of character of Steve to be like this', and did nothing but just to verbally call us. Nothing positive came out of the complaint or trying to right such deplorable customer experience. If that was surprising, I guess it is no longer surprising that Steve is now promoted to Assistant Service Manager.

We now use another dealership and the customer experience is significantly better!

After buying the car from the dealership, paying over 1k for this service, and, not being our fault that we had to bring the car back in the second day running, would you expect to be bullied and experience such deplorable customer service?

Bought elsewhere as they were too absorbed in themselves. Nice showroom though.

Your setup is most frustrating for the time conscious customer. Your front line staff are unhelpful, offer nothing in the way of expediting a request for something as simple as buying an off the shelf product from your accessories store. You are asked to sit and wait, while a call to a manager is apparently made to attend to you (nothing happened for 15 min). Most inefficient and a total waste of time, while staff in their suits are seen loitering around sipping their morning coffees and talking among themselves. The store wasn't even busy. If this is the image BMW Melbourne wants to project, I'd be most happy to bring my business and those of my contacts elsewhere.

Zero wow factor - over promised under delivered. Head somewhere else if you want to feel special. Not every day you buy a 100k SUV.

Changing my stars to 5 as they have now acknowledged the mistakes they made and compensated me accordingly

Two weeks ago, I booked a test drive for the BMW 1 Series with BMW Melbourne (Kings Way). Nic the sales executive attended to me when I arrived. In tow were my parents who were in town visiting. I was taken in by Nic's genuine and welcoming attitude even though I was 'only' there to test drive. He was not impersonal - rather he was approachable, friendly and most definitely respectful of my parents. It is said a little respect goes a long way - at the end of it all, I decided to purchase the 1 Series thanks to Nic's help and the warmth he showed to both me and my parents.

    Thanks Nic!

Very average experience service from a so called prestige brand. Initially I rang to enquire on a 125i. Spoke to an Indian guy with an English accent. Told him what I was looking for, seemed enthusiastic over the phone and said he would ring me back, but neve did. I decided one afternoon to go down and have a look at the cars on the lot myself as I only wanted a 1 series. Looked around the lot for ages until I went inside the dealer looking for assistance. Was assigned the same guy, again totally unhelpful, not overly interested in helping me with my enquiry. Got told to go have a look around the lot. Needless to say I bought my 1 series from Bundoora BMW and they were brilliant!

No wonder Mercedes is killing BMW for sales when this is the serviced received from their biggest dealer in Victoria. Spoke to a friend of mine who recently bought a MB GLA and he said he had the same experience when he went to buy an X4 from this dealer so went next door and bought the MB! Pathetic.

We brought our 16 months old Mini in for the 2nd service: they said they need to change the rear break pads. Why? The car only has 16000km, and the brake sensor did not go off. Does not sound right to me. They did not provide the changed brake pads for inspection either.
We also asked them to fix a squeal in the windshield wipers. They changed the blades for $100, but we later found out that that didn't solve the problem. They should've known because lifting the arms of the windshield didn't fix the squeal. Had to go back twice before they oiled the arm. No refund on the wasted $100 or apology for the time wasted.
    Overall a very unpleasant experience.
Update 16.9.16: No call from BMW as promised below about the matter.
