I spent the weekend here for a social event with a reasonably large group. The rooms were simple, though better than I had expected. I found the accommodation far more comfortable than similarly priced places I have stayed. Our group dined in the restaurant and even though we were a large group, we were all served in a reasonable timeframe. The portions were generous and delicious. Most impressive were the staff, they were friendly with the openers and warmness I love about Australia's small towns. They went over and beyond to ensure our experience was a good one and always with a smile. As a group we are already planning a return to this venue next year and will take note of the ideas the staff provided us on extra things we can incorporate into our event.
Loads of character, cycled from lilydale and found it directly off the rail trail at the start of warburton. Very friendly bat staff that secured our bikes, cheap booze amd rooms and lovely locals. We will be back again. The meat lovers parma really hit the spot
The best parma I've ever had, and l do love my parmas.
Good clean hotel good service reasonable rates terrific views
I don't mind having a meal here when I stop over in Warburton, looked up room prices too and they are pretty competitive, might be worth staying a night next time.
Best Pub meal in the world, but don't expect a warm smile from the staff 😋
The best calm and quaint place. We had the rooms where we could see the Yarra River.. beautiful place.
Couple, stayed in an en-suite room. Checked in and it seemed all right, but when we came back from dinner the lights would not turn on - apparently a few rooms had developed this problem and a few had no working power points. We were given a lamp when we asked but only then - the family across the hall didn't ask and were therefore stranded in blackness or phone light. They were propping their door open to make use of the scant light from the hall. We were given a free drink at the bar while we waited for the problem to be fixed, which it wasn't. Sometimes these things are unavoidable and it must suck to be a hotelier in that position but it really seemed like nary a damn was given by most of the staff - the bartender who plied us with a free drink maybe gave a half of one. Heard tell they're selling soon and maybe just riding out the clock. Plus the shower sucked - barely hot and ever-drooping, had to be held up. This was our fourth time staying here so it was a shame. Building is ace, tons of character. If you lucked out on a room with both power and light and had a good shower and no cause to expect anything from the staff outside bar duties or maybe restaurant stuff it would be fine. Drinks are cheap.
Charming place to stay with basic accommodation. The rooms are dated but clean and we were comfortable and warm. The pillows were terrible but the staff were wonderful and the meals - divine. Overall it was a great stay.
Great food. A bit quieter than the other places. Indoor fire. Good beers. An easy choice.
Good food, not flash accommodation but affordable and comfortable. Stunning location and accommodated all of us and our bikes
600g steak $41. Was amazing. Friendly service.
Very good and tends to be a little quieter just outside town. Great to drop into at the end of the bike trail.
The pumpkin Parma was delicious. Casual dress and friendly staff. The owner was nice. Big meals.
Went there yesterday, service was very disappointing for a Friday lunchtime considering it wasn't overcrowded when we were there. Waited more than forty minutes for our meal. Meal was fine, service was sad. Should employ more staff.
