Lovely Ambience
We chose this restaurant because it had an extensive vegetarian menu and one of our party is a vegetarian.
We were not disappointed with any of the meals we chose, both meat and vegetarian.
The staff are lovely and they played a beautiful music mix which filled in the gaps but allowed us to talk to each other without shouting.
Will definitely go there again.

The food here was amazing, we loved everything we ordered. The bbq meats were just done to perfection! The curries were nice too. We were so full we didn’t get to order dessert, maybe next time!

The taste of food is good, specifically Sultani Kebab. The Menu is pricy compared to other Afghan restaurants. Also, the rice always come in a shared plate which is not my favourite choice. However, i suggest to try it at least once. The staff are also very nice.

An intimate environment with delicious food! Thoroughly enjoyed my dish. We were pleased with our night but the waiters kept removing plates and cups from our table for other customers. This traffic of clearing our space became uncomfortable. The seating also became an issue, as we needed extra seats and the staff seemed reluctant to provide that. Most importantly though, the music at the restaurant needs to be reconsidered as it does not match the aura of the beautiful cultural knick-knacks of the interiors. Instead of playing English pop music, I would have enjoyed listening to traditional Afghan songs and instrumentals or even Afghan pop songs and rap if they wanted to create a more upbeat atmosphere! Nonetheless, great place to dine overall!

If you are black do not dine here. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant and it was due to racism. We waited one hour for a menu and another hour before we decided to leave. We were never served our food after waiting over 2 hours. Meanwhile white people who came after us in even larger groups were served, received their meal and were eating before we even got our menus.

The woman who served us made condescending jokes when giving us our menus to brush off how delayed the service was. When we finally decided to leave after waiting for over two hours, we were brushed off with a disingenuous apology and no effort was made to try and correct their mistake. It’s as if they had not even began making our food.

My friend and I have both experienced racism however this was one of the most blatant experiences. There was a clear difference between the way we were being treated in comparison to white customers. I have also posted this review on FB and I will be telling members of my community not to bother dinning at this restaurant as it is not culturally safe for black people.
