I contacted Dr Ades based on his glowing online reviews. I had been experiencing pain , abdominal bloating and irregular periods and the ultrasounds and MRI scans had shown a persistent cyst on my right ovary.

I contacted Dr Ades who recommended a laparoscopic cystectomy.
Dr Ades did not perform any additional tests like Tumor markers but proceeded straight to surgery. He did not once suggest that I have any additional scans done to rule out any malignancy etc.

His fee was five times more than what other surgeons charge but I agreed thinking I was going to the best and that my symptoms would subside after the cystectomy.

However, a nasty shock was in store. After surgery, he met me for about five minutes and told me that he could not see any cyst on my ovary. He simply went in and closed me up without performing the cystectomy ! I was bewildered as the cyst could not have magically disappeared.

I had an ultrasound the very next day which showed the cyst was very much present . I complained to his office and Dr Ades was extremely rude and said " I couldn't see any cyst, should I just remove your ovary"

Upon many to and fro emails, he agreed to refund the surgery fee but kept telling me to not have another laproscopy done as it was not required. He also challenged me by asking me to supply my histopathology reports if I ever have surgery.

I gave my body time to heal and got in touch with another surgeon and had surgery done a few months later. The surgeon removed the cyst successfully.

Sadly the cyst turned out to be OVARIAN CANCER which had metastasised to my pelvis and omentum. I am now fighting for my life.

Had Dr Ades taken out the tumor as planned , the cancer would not have spread this much.

I hold Dr Ades responsible for putting me in this predicament. In my opinion, doctors like Dr Ades should have their licences revoked- their high handedness and God complex borders on the inhuman. I have two young children who are faced with the prospect of growing up without a mother and it is on Dr Ades' conscience.

Dr Alex Ades is an absolute star. Very professional, very informative and most of all extremely talented at what he does. The birth of my baby via C-Section was smooth running and relaxing. I had no concerns as I was in the best hands possible. Highly recommended.

I just had A laparoscopy 2 days ago. Dr Alex Ades is highly skilled and has an amazing compassionate and understanding temperament. I had complete trust in his ability and appreciated his bedside manor to put me at ease before and after the surgery. The surgery was a success and looking forward or thanking him in the follow up appointment.
