The hotel is older but week kept up. The staff re very friendly and the ocean view was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the shower is amazing.

Room wasn't cleaned properly. Dirty water in the kettle. Spiders on the bed. Bird feathers on the doorstep. Won't be returning.

Recently I booked a great ocean view motel in apollo bay and had the worst experience of my life. The owners were rude, arrogant and had alot of attitude. When I got there I asked them if we could book another room as well (for other family who was arriving)and they had a major attitude and kept increasing the room price.
They weren't happy with us all staying there, as they dont like a group of Indians, because we are apparently too noisy..
I was so disgusted by this racism and rudeness that I cancelled this late night and had to go hunting for another motel.
I will not recommend if for anyone who wants to have a good time, as they will sure ruin your night/dayresponse / report this review -

Absolutely disgusting. None of the owners nor managers have any common sense and make bs excuses because they didnt want us staying there, even though we had just checked in. The lady at the front was a rude and vile person to talk to and the "owner" was mocking as he sold the last room. They literally have no manners and do not respect you

Photos on Google looked amazing,,booked over the phone,,,,money was taken same day in April,,,we never arrived until May,,,,has we walked up the stairs to our room on top floor the floors were filthy,,,found cigarette butt. Levels etc ,,,not good,,opened up to our room,,looked ok,,,mould on net curtain,,,cobwebs,,dust on top of picture frames,,,stain on couch,,,marks on wardrobe,,,paintwork patched up,,,bathroom tiles were cracked,,,metal object hanging on wall,,,why it wasn't removed,??,,mould around shower on the outside,,,hanging soap dish made metal rusty,,,,my husband went out to car early in dark no light found it eventually further down,,after fumbling in dark,,,130 dollors for a nites stay,,,,wait for it,,,the light from hotel sign shines into the room and makes it difficult to sleep,,,then the split air and heating system makes a racket on and off all nite,,,the owners of this place quick to take money out,,,now you can put it back in my account,,,,,,

We had a viewand that was all! Health and Safety shouldn't allow business like this to take payment in advance from people. filthy, with spiders, cockroaches, couldn't sleep with insects in the bed linen, totally revolting, we couldn't leave soon enough the next morning!

The view from the upper floors was amazing. We spent a lovely evening after dinner with a couple beers watching the sun set behind the mountains. Very friendly staff too. The one problem though was that the rooms, bedding and furniture really show their age. It's a shame, because this place has/had so much potential!

Place has nice views and a good location. Basic room and facilities (including shared slow WiFi) though a bit tired and could do with a coat of paint and some new fixtures. Lady at reception was very nice and gave good tips for our days adventures in the area. Does not have any washing facilities however there is a coin laundry nearby.
