A beautiful, modern hotel with a stellar location and incredibly warm, accommodating staff. The rooms are large, comfortable, and appointed with a fun, minimalist/futuristic vibe. One can walk to the heart of the city in ten minutes. Das LOFT, the restaurant on the 18th floor, is a destination on its own. Would definitely recommend!

We noticed the beautiful ceiling in the bar from the metro, the sun was just setting and thought it would have amazing views of Vienna. It did along with an interesting menu of cocktails and friendly bartenders.

The hotel is well run by pleasant and helpful staff. Wolfgang Wagner and his concierge staff were very helpful. The penthouse bar/restaurant is amazing.Well done to Lucas and his team and Daniel in the restaurant.
The rooms - at least the luxury room of my experience - was large, well appointed and with a very comfortable bed and bedding. It was maintained to high standards of cleanliness. The free water, fruit juices and coffee were much appreciated.
BUT, the room is totally grey, sterile and owes more to the self-indulgences of the designer rather than providing practical comfort for the guests. The shelf behind the bed cannot be reached whilst sitting in bed let alone lying; the armchair and pouffe were covered in a very cheap synthetic grey material which was fraying at the edges; there are no curtains at the large windows, rather, one is required to slide up, down or across four separate wooden or composite shutters, which is original, but an unnecessary and irritating inconvenience.
The bath has very hard angular edges and no handles to assist entry and egress.
There is an overwhelming need for some colour and softening of the very dull and depressing decor. The AirCon did not respond to temperature adjustment.

Cool hotel. Popular with business travelers. Interesting architecture and interior design. Good spa. Very close to restaurants and public transportation. Friendly but very professional staff.

Lovely rooftop bar with very nice environment and nice music. The views are incredible, definitely worth a visit even if you're just going for the view. If you're visiting on a Friday or Saturday night I would recommend that you reserve a table as it gets very busy. We had to return on Sunday afternoon as we couldn't get a table on Saturday night. Definitely a must if you're in a Vienna!

Had drinks at the bar on the 18th floor. It was a great view of the city. The bar had a surrounding view with floor-to-ceiling windows. However, the drinks were extremely overpriced. Could have bought a whole bottle of whiskey for the cost of the 2 shots we had That said the wait staff was very good, quick and professional.

Design hotel located in the center. You can almost visit everything by foot from it. Service and food are excellent. One amazing thing you need to do is the Rooftof bar more than 180°view on Vienna! Astonishing!!

Friendly staff and nice hotel. Standard of rooms could be better given it is 5*; the furnishings in the rooms weren't great (including the suite) and the rooms felt a little cold with the amount of white. While this is the theme, it would feel more welcoming and warm with some colour.

It is a beautiful hotel perfectly located to give you a walking distance to the old city. A view of Vienna from the restaurant which is breathtaking and out of the world. A very comfortable hotel with high levels of service. Except for the fact that there was practically no vegetarian food available in the restaurants, the hotels it's decor, location and service were of a fantastically high standards. A friendly front desk and concierge which was ever willing to help.

Lovely modern hotel. A little outside of the city centre compared to some of the other hotels. Rooms are open plan with the option to pull a wall across the bathroom areaas I was travelling with my husband this wasn't needed! Great bar and restaurant on the top floor. We had lunch up there and the food was very good quality. Would definitely return.

This is my first experience with the Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom and it will not be my last.

The location is first-rate. The staff are first-rate. The rooms are very spacious and the design is unusual but very efficient. Bedding and bathroom amenities were excellent.

The spa and fitness areas were beautifully appointed and contain the facilities to keep your mind and body fully rejuvenated after a busy day.

This is a beautiful, well-managed property and I will stay here whenever I'm in Vienna.

So this is a bit weird. I usually love Sofitel, but for this one I’m torn. It is stylish, it is nicely designed, certainly. But the rooms held completely in white do remind me of the Matrix, or some dream scene in a movie. It’s cool for a few nights, but I’m unsure of what it would do to my sanity if I was to stay for a longer time. Kudos for all the little design specialties – the room layout is great! The white makes it a tad sterile though, so … consider that before booking a longer stay.
