  I visit the Schloss every year for business. It's a quirky place. The rooms are functional and clean (although I hate standing in a tiny bath to shower!). The beds are comfortable enough. The food is wholesome and good. The internet connection has been vastly improved. The staff are friendly and helpful. And I think that being very central and close to the Mondsee itself adds to its charm.

  Not staying here, passing by and saw what was the equivalent of a small village set in the 1600's, food was amazing, ambiance was stellar 5 stars

  The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very accommodating for English speakers. The free breakfast each morning is fantastic and includes champagne (as well as freshly cooked breakfast food for those who don't prefer liquid meals ;)) The room was clean with good water pressure in the shower. The only problem during our stay was an issue with the WiFi, which is probably not a daily issue, it just so happened to affect us. The hotel is also practically connected to the church featured in Sound of Music.
