Very nice walk with kids (4 and 7 years old). Before closing lions and tigers came out from their cage waiting for feeding, thus we were able to see them very close. A wonderful experience for kids and adults 😀🦁🐆🐯

This zoo is well organized and has all kinds of animals. I couldn't find the lions though. There are a lot of screaming kids so brace yourself. But this zoo wasn't bad.

Very nice, unique place Attractive ZOO just round the corner of Schönbrunn Palace. We had a fascinating day, lovely meal (Vienna Schnitzel- what else??!!) and a great walk in the gardens surrounding Schönbrunn. And if you don't feel like walking you can just sit on the lawns of the hill and enjoy the beautiful view of Vienna and the uniqueness of the place.

Huge and clean zoo with a wide selection of animals insects reptiles you can even see the Panda. Before going try to check the feeding hours of your favourite animals. You can spend easily 2 to 3h there. Many little cafes are available through out the zoo for a little pause.

Free admission if you have Vienna Pass. Staff very helpful, friendly and polite. Grounds very clean. Has limited time you could sure you could spend if not a full day there at least 1/2 a day. I only had 2 hours or so as only had 1 free day on my 3 day Austrain F1 trip and wanted to see as much of the city as I could. I have knocked 1* off due to the fact that it was so hot that the main things I wanted to see and gone to get out of the heat Polar Bears and the Panda's, not the Zoo fault I know and there are signs to say they maybe gone inside. I was just a little disappointed but still got to see the Penguins Elephants and a few other animals. Would come back again if I ever go to Vienna again. I would spend longer there with the hopes of catching the animals I missed and the ones I didn't get time for.

Well organized, lots of different animals to see but make sure not to go when it's hot outside or the animals will be inside and you won't see many of them. They should keep them more in the pens and in the shade of the trees so you can see them. Really enjoyed the fishes and the seals.

Great Zoo. Compared to other Zoos (that I've visited) animals have more room for themselves and seem happier. So it's a nice experience and doesn't make you sad because you only feel sorry for them.

The variety of animals is also great. You get to see exotic ones as well as Austrian ones (there is a nice area that is built like a farm and there are cows, goats, sheep and you can watch chicken hatching!)

You get a map at the entrance that also points out feeding times or times when a zoo worker shows up and tells you about the animals. That's really interesting but can also get too crowded when you want to see popular animals (like the Koala).

    Would definitely recommend!

What an amazing in zoo it is! I saw different varieties of species here. Zoo is maintained well and all animals are healthy. Area of the zoo is very big and it takes 4 to 5 hours to complete the zoo. Lush green surrounding gives the feel of natural habitat. There is awesome aquarium inside with varieties of fishes. Good food options also available.

I really like this place, even after visiting it for the 8th time. I would give it 5 stars because i believe that the animals are feeling well, the programs are really funny and also informative to watch and they are always bringing some changes to make this experience even better. The one thing that really bothers me is the price of the ticket. For children and teenagers the price is fine (9 €) but for adults it's 20€ and students don't get any discout like at other places.

Amazing zoo. I can spend here with my kids all day. Every hour you can watch how they feed animals. For example, for see animals it's super interesting show. At 10:30 and 14:30. Enjoy )))

It is a truly amazing zoo. I spent 4hrs here as I tried to see all the animals. The animals have excellently enclosures and are well taken care of, are not extremely coy and are often visible. They offer good information about the animal in wild habitats and promote education and conservation efforts from governments and not profits. The zoo also has restaurants and children play areas as well as fun souvenir shops. IT IS COMPLETELY WORTH your time and money!!

Did you accidentally book a trip to Austria? Did you mean to go to Australia? Are you sad because there are no kangaroos around? Fear not: this zoo located in Vienna, Austria has kangaroos! Also there are sloths at this zoo. Sloths are my favorite animal. All the other animals were great too. Visiting this zoo really early can be great because it's less crowded.

Good zoo, but wish some of the animals had more space. No huge barriers like American zoos so if you're an American with a kid likely to try to run off and try to get into an exhibit, don't take them there or leash them. It'd be quite easy to get into most of the exhibits Europeans expect children to behave like adults.

    Pandas were neat.
