I went to this restaurant after it was recommended by a friend when I visited Vienna last year. I am writing a review now as I was looking for it to recommend it myself to another friend! I can literally remember the taste of the lovely beef stew yet! The atmosphere is great and the food is lovely! Little pricey but definitely worth the try!

This is the best Tafelspitz in town, a unique experience of the Austrian food. It is a bit expensive, however it really worth it. the staff are very friendly and speak very good English. One of a very few places in Vienna, where you really have high quality customer service.

This restaurant is very good and famous. Visited by the likes of John Kerry and Vlademir Putin.. service is very good and friendly. Make a reservation before going unless you intend to eat at odd time then no need. Food was really good and the position was more than generous. Beer was really good.

The beef soup is so tasty!! It’s one of the best meals I have in Vienna. The wine we tried was also very good. We sat in the outdoor area since indoor seating was not available. My friend and I were freezing outside since it doesn’t have enough heater. By the end of meal, I can see the fat from the beef soup floating on top. Next time, I’ll make a reservation first.

Very nice dinning experience to try some traditional dishes.. The famous "Tafel Spitz" I only can recommend. Service is fast and efficient. Tasty flavors in a business casual atmosphere. I will be back for sure next time I m in Vienna.

    Worst restaurant experience in Vienna!!

The service is the worst service I had in Vienna. Any drawback will ruin your trip, so please don't visit here.

After order, the waiter said that he would serve the meal for me, but all I got is waiting. In the end, I had to serve for myself. The matter came from his promise. It fell back.

The price of meal is high, but the service isn't equal to it. The waiter even split my dish at once. I didn't get any care during my meal. I mean even it happens even in cheap restaurant in Vienna or Europe.

Moreover, I waited for bill for more than 20 minutes. Even when I got the bill, the waiter forgot to come again for pay. All I got is wait and anger.

I hope that there isnt victim under the praise of this restaurant. Or if the restaurant is racist!! and that will explain why. Cause I got that Asians don't get equivalent service than others.

In the end, if you're Asian but you don't care about the sevice you suppose to have. Then come to this place. The meals are great.

Meet was good, nothing super special but tasty. However I was very disappointed when I got the bill and three pieces of bread that the waiter has put on the table in the beginning turned out to be 10 euros!! If you charge that much for simple bread let your customers know about it!! Don't make them confused after the meal! If I knew the price I would have never ever paid that much in the beginning! It is unfair business! Respect your customers! PS. If it is an austrian habit to charge customers for that, I was clearly a foreigner. And I could get a good meal for 10 euros (price of this bread) in another place

We walked in around 7 and we're able to be seated right away at an outside table. Being in Vienna we just had to have Wiener schnitzel and we were not disappointed. The accompanying potato salad was serve first, which was delicious in and of itself. The serving of Weiner schnitzel was more than enough and it was very tender and flavorful, especially with the potato salad.
The desserts were just as good. Due to a dairy allergy, all I could have was homemade apricot sorbet with Prosecco. Totally satisfied my sweet tooth craving!
Service was very good, and the wait staff was very friendly. A very good experience!

The one star goes to the service in general. Even at 4 pm on a Saturday, the place is rather busy and the flow of the orders does not work as it should. I ordered an asparagus soup, prawns and a bottle of red wine, water, desert and expresso. All over 75€ just for me. The soup came but I had to beg for the wine and water. Even before finishing my soup the prawns arrived. The water its dumped them on the table. I complained to no avail. Had to wait 10 min for someone to collect the soup plate.
The food was actually very good but the hole experience was very poor and I regretted spending all that money plus almost 1 and a half hour on what could be a very good meal.

Tafelspitz as great as usual, but service rather on the lower end. Not being able to take the food away I find very rude given the price charged.

Very Austrian! Told to try this place by the bike tour guide. Boiled beef? Didn't sound so greatbut was super delicious! Broth flavorful without being too salty, vegetables cooked to be tender but no more, fried potatoes were a surprising delight! The beed portion was generous and tender with a great display.

Boiled meat is great. Nice service. We asked to sit by the window but they said it s a 4 person table. After 5 min, table was given to 2 persons. Anyway, it wasn t so bad. Nice place to dine overall.
