Great rooms, very nice staff.
But the wifi was very poor in our room (2nd floor)

The location was great too, 7 min walking from the center. Also had parking. And very nice river just outside of our window:)

Good price, big room, comfy bed, great breakfast, free parking, good wifi, swimming pool/sauna. 5 min walk to town. Difficult to find a fault.

A pleasant hotel, but room not as nice as the others were stayed at in Austria. Beds a little too soft but this is a personal preference. If the weather had been hot would have missed having air conditioning.

I stayed here with my wife and our 8-yr-old son over Christmas 2013. We had the most wonderful time. The hotel has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and felt just like a country residence. The family and their staff were so welcoming that we felt more like friends that hotel guests. Our suite was generous, quiet and comfortable.
The hotel location was ideal for us. A short walk from the bottom of the pistes at the end of the day, and a short (free) minibus ride from the main Schmitten lifts in the morning. We had driven from the UK, and had a reserved, undercover parking space for the duration.
Christmas Eve was a special highlight. We had traditional music with the family, a beautiful tree, and my son believes he may have met the "real" Santa Claus.
The food in the hotel restaurant was always good - delicious and healthy and nicely Austrian.
We would all happily stay here again, and look forward to returning in the future.

We have stayed at Hotel St Georg in summer and winter. The location and facilities are excellent but above all the friendly hotel staff and relaxed atmosphere make this Hotel a particular favourite. We will return to the St Georg for our 6th year of skiing at Zell in March 2013. Our favourite room has a balcony overlooking the stream which runs past the hotel and gives views into Zell and onto a ski run which is within walking distance of the hotel. We look forward to delicious meals and the morning newsletter with its suggestions for activities and excursions for both skiers and non-skiers.
Some other benefits which make us rate this hotel so highly are: great afternoon snacks in the bar after skiing, convenient mini-bus service to the main Schmittenhohe lift station each morning, quiet local road for easy 10 minute walk to nearest shops and ski hire centre and finally the attractive traditional Austrian feel to the St. Georg created by the charming owners, Familie Sauper, who live and dine in the hotel.
