This is a guesthouse, not a hotel. Reception is only open from 8am to 7pm, be aware. Rooms are dated, but good size. Bed is comfortable. Wifi slow. You can get a room at the Regina across the street for the same price.

We were pleasantly surprised when we got to Vienna very late at night and the checking in was a breeze. The interior is a bit dated but still very nice.

Lovely small hotel. Centrally located and nice, clean rooms. The breakfast room is (too) close to the rooms, and breakfast is small but good. Overall good value.

Nice small hotel. Very well located and with a really good service. There are several bars and coffee shops in the surroundings. The area is very well served by public transportation and is easily reachable from the airport.

This hotel is a frigging JOKE. I have visited Vienna last month.
But let's start it from the top. I love Austria. And I LOVE Vienna! :D It's such an awesome city. Full of GRANDURE and statues and stuff. and it's so clean. Sometime in the future I will return there.
But same can't be said about this fine establishment.
It's suppose to be a 4 star hotel. But a motel in the middle of nowhere in US would have better service.
Let's start:
Photos are deceiving. The hotel barely reasembles them. It's situated in the apartment building.
The staff are almost worthless.
They only work from 8 to 17h in the evening. There is NO WAY you would know that before hand.
If I would arrive in Vienna late in the evening, say 18,00h I would basically be screwed.
There would be NO staff in the hotel. Only a number on the door. You call it, and out comes some knock off immigrant, who does NOT speak english. And barely speaks German, or any language for that matter. And mostly use his hands for communication, and speaks gibberish in his native language.
That is, IF he comes at all, during the late evening/night.
The rooms are small. Tiny. Table is so tiny, that my laptop barely fits.
No air conditioning. So it's basically an oven during the summer. And a fridge during winter (their windows are ancient).
Staff reception barely knows anything about Vienna, apart from what is written on their tourist broshure.
So, TLDR: I have no idea how Austrians rate their hotels.
Excuse me but where all those 4 stars come in?
That i get my OWN room? where I can barely turn arround? Yeaaaah thats such a great feature. No one else does that.
That the beds are clean? Isn't this suppose to be by default?
That the shower seems to be relatively well kept and works most of the time? same as above.
And that I can get wifi?
And that staff is non existant? means after 17h in the evening, I can make an ORGY, or basically whatever I want in the hotel, and probably nobody would care ? :D Because I have seen maybe 2 costumers beside me, in the hotel during the whole time.
Or do you automatically get 4 stars if your hotel is a few meters away from Ringstrasse?
Really?
Again, I have no idea where all these stars come in to play. Avoid it at all costs.
