Really interesting amethyst mine, with exhibitions.Unforgettable experience for children to dig out their own precious gemstones.

Me and my family love it. you get to dig for yourself for amethysts, which is pretty cool, specially for kids. Also, you can visit the (fake)mine which is pretty impressive. The outdoor garden is beautiful and you can spend hours there. Also: the playground rocks! All in all: good for a whole day trip.

A nice place for a weekend visit, especially if you are with kids. The guided tours in the mine and the exhibition are only in german. Very interesting attraction for the kids is to dig for minerals. The gardens are also nice and free for access.

Nice place for family trip. Guided tours are not in English what is such a shame. Personal mining experience was the best.

Don't go there if you prefer a scientific approach to minerals. They had this strange nostalgic-esoteric focus, like lecturing you about which nobleman attributed which healing power to the stones and whatnot.. Might be fun for the kids, who can dig for minerals, but for us it was kind of a let-down.
