The lady SEEMED very nice at first, very polite. The second morning we stayed there when we asked her if taking the subway was safe she said that it would be better to leave valuable jewelry behind. She even asked me if my necklace was made of gold. Since she seemed trustworthy and because I did not want to draw attention to ourselves, I took off my necklace and my diamond ring (I admit I should not have done that), placed them VERY CAREFULLY in a bag, within a bag, hidden in between my clothes (did this on purpose). We came back that night and the following morning when I tried to put my ring back on, it was gone. When we alerted her son, he called her and her response was "I am running errands, I will be there later" WHO SAYS THAT??! If a theft happened in the business I owned, I would go immediately to see what happened, especially if it involved a diamond ring. We waited for her all day long. At night, when we came back at the time she had said, she was there with her "attorney" (when I tried to contact him I could not get a hold of him). She blamed it all on the cleaning girl. Strangely, the cleaning girl did not admit it but never cried (if I was accused of a crime I did not commit, I would be panicking in fear of going to jail for something I didn't do), instead she was just playing with her phone. It seemed as if it was all planned among them. All we could do was file a police report, but what else could we do if we are foreigners and were leaving the next day? TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience to go through. I have taken so long to write this review because it was very sad to go through this and I wanted to forget that it happened but I feel I should warn everyone who is thinking of staying here, DO NOT DO IT, THEY ARE THIEVES.
