If you are itching to find a place with a wide variety of Arabic and Armenian food, Sarkis is the place to go. The first thing you will be taken by if you visit the restaurant is the large crowd almost always waiting for a seat outside. Both locals and tourists like to patronize this restaurant, and for good reason. The accommodating staff can offer an English menu if you have trouble with the Spanish names of Arabic and Armenian dishes/ingredients. The flatbread alone, served warm, displays the care of both wait and kitchen staff. Grape leaves stuffed with a slightly spiced ground beef and rice was a highlight among their side dishes. The pleasantly sour and bitter flavors were rounded out by the slightly salty and deeply savory filling contributing to near perfectly balanced morsels of meat. The mint and yogurt dipping was a perfectly fresh and light pairing to the sometimes overly heavy entrees but can be included in some of the grilled meat dishes. Moussaka was perfectly cooked with a deep smokey flavor that lended to the tender sweetness of the eggplant and minerality of the tomatoes.
Argentinians tend to like their meat on the well done side of medium and so came the meat here. Besides what this American might consider an unfortunate overcook, everything else about the dish was delicious.

Just had lunch here and Ate really well! Fantastic prices and 1st quality Armenian food! Best I ever tried compared to other countries! The restaurant is nothing fancy and honestly, it doesn’t matter! If you go exclusively for the food, this is the spot! We ordered 2 appetizers and two Main plates with a beer bottle 1L for 750 pesos! Great deal by the way! The service could’ve been more on top of everything as it usually is! They never took away the plates when we asked and took forever to bring a couple simple things we have ordered! Other than that, everything went well! I will definitely come back!

Simply delicious Armenian food. You can tell by the massive crowd waiting to get in every night of the week. Just put your name on the list and wait until you're called. It is worth the wait.

Good place. Good food and good prices. It's convenient to go super early or super late, because in the dinner rush hour (21-23), you will probably wait one hour until get a table. We went late (23.15) and we waited just 15 minutes.

Fue mi primer visia al lugar y primer restaurante de comida Arabe en Argentina. Y me sorprendió positivamente.

I really liked this place. The waiter helped us out straight away (in English) and suggest the perfect portion size for our mixed group (meat/ vegetarian) of seven 👍🏼
    Everything was great! 👌🏼

Massive portions. Tasty meat. Desserts looked great but we were too full to eat them. Closes late which is good but it is always crowded full of people.

First time dining here. I went with a recommendation given by my waiter. Despite the fact that he spoke no English and I speak no Spanish, I loved his choice - I wish I knew the name of the dish. It looked like beef sausage without a casing topped with onions and cilantro. The meat was excellent - well seasoned (not overly salty unlike a lot of the food I've had in BA) with spices and herbs. It was tender and full of flavor. I was afraid my waiter would steer me towards an expensive and heavier option (the English menu doesn't have prices) but he ordered a 1/2 portion for me. The prices were very reasonable and all waiters were very welcoming. Highly recommend.

Delicious, abundant, cheap. It doesn't get much better than that.

They're not joking about getting there early if you don't want to wait for your table.

Spectacular place for having armenian food. It's not expensive and you can taste these exquisite dishes. I recommend arriving early as it is usually full, but you can get a table if you arrive at about 8pm.

Armenian food is their specialty. Portions were large. You could share between 2 people. Food great. There is a waiting time to get a table. Place is full. Price for 2 people 500 pesos. I was full afterwards.

Special atmosphere, simple and superb food. Very popular. The waiters are too busy and not very friendly. But they serve the food.

Sarkis is a no nonsense place to eat Armenian food. The wait can be a bit long but once you have a table the food is served pretty quickly. Cash only But it's reasonably priced. Desserts are good as well.

Liked it a lot! Food's delicious and table service was great and quick. Nice place to go to dine with a group. Prices are very reasonable.

Cons: Cash only, they don't take reservations, no delivery (but there's take out) and very long wait time (specially on weekends)

Definitely a great casual place known for the best armenian food here in BA and the prices are super convenient! Service is fine for Argentine standards. Best to go there 8pm or after 11, if not you will be waiting well over 40 minutes for a table.
