I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Comfortable bed, great shower and nice breakfast. The pool on the rooftop is not fantastic but it was nice having it on a really hot day. The location is not far from the center ans there is a subway station nearby (along with many restaurants).

Hotel is alright the rooms feel not just small, but cramped. I felt like there was very little space to just move around the room. Also, requires a lot of stairs to get from the lobby to your room.
Breakfast was good though and they were even able to get me a gluten-free breakfast :) And for the next day, when we had to leave early, they even made a breakfast bag to go for us.response / report this review -

Yes. This place is located centrally in San Telmo which is a fun place to be with quirky restaurants and bars. The rooms all face a public court which is usually quiet but it doesn't allow for as much privacy. The rooms are also small. But the perk is the location plus if you ask in advance they will provide you with gluten free bread and rice crackers

A.C. was actually controlled else were and not individually.. Wi-Fi dropped out constantly. Toilet super close to bed and visible apart from a frosted door. Sink separate in the room. Very small all-round But the burger joint close by was great.

Patios is a fantastically designed boutique hotel. It's an old building that's been restored, and the rooms are around a couple of courtyards (most with internal facing windows). Cool reception, nice cafe to eat their decent breakfast in and lovely rooftop terrace and plunge pool.
However, the place must be 8-9 years old now, and really should have had a bit more TLC to keep it looking 'boutiquey' and premium, rather than frayed around the edges. The first room that we were put in had damp bedsheets, and was murkily dark, day and night. When the next day all our clothes were damp too, we complained and were put in a slightly better room. However, I'm a bit annoyed we were put in that room in the first place - the receptionist clearly knew the damp in that room was a problem when we told him about it.
The next room (and much of the rest of the hotel) had brown blotches all over the wooden ceiling. Also some of the wallpaper was peeling off and the bathroom had dark mould stains on the tiles.
Clearly an older building needs a bit more attention to keep it looking pristine - I don't really know why the owners have been so neglectful as they must have put a lot of work into the original restoration. Certainly the photos on the website look like they were taken a few years ago when the hotel was in better condition.
Apart from that, the service was good. San Telmo is good for being close to the market on Sunday and some hipster shops and cafes. However, we found the buzzer to enter day and night slightly ominous and didn't feel totally safe walking around the area later on at night.response / report this review -

Great hotel, great style. It was built over an old house in San Telmo area. Is very well kept, and the staff is friendly and always want to help. The rooms are connected to a nice patio, and keeps the soul of the old Buenos Aires.

Great hotel! Book on their website for the best rate. The water stays hot, the electricity stays on, the staff is awesome. You can't beat the location.

Amazing place, beautiful spaces, nice common areas. The shower is probably the best I've ever used. A word of caution to those that tango or hit up the boliches late at night the staff starts cleaning the rooms at 8am and they are not quiet about it.
That knocks it down a star but they provide enough pillows to put one over your head. All in all a great place and a killer location.response / report this review
