This a traditional coffee shop and meeting point since several years ago.
Politicians, writers, actors, actresses, people (wealthy, ordinary, tourists), have came, and keep coming. From a coffee to a vermouth with chips, drinks, sandwiches, etc., that could be enjoyed outside or inside; early morning, midday, afternoon, night time it doesn't matter you will meet your friend and family, your girlfriend or boyfriend, whomever, or be by yourself and read the paper.
Outside you are in the middle of Recoleta surrounded by gigantic historic trees, cemetery, pedestrians, fair viewers, church goers, weddings guests or solo tango singers.
It is almost imposible to describe La Biela in its entirety and soul, you need to experience the essence of the most acclaimed corner of this side of Recoleta. Prices are somewhat affordable, but you will be paying for an incredible experience. Enjoy!

Chicken served, cooked pink inside. Sent back. Asparagus salad, in asparsgus season, but from can-- hearts of palm in salad, also from can. Waiter did not ask why I did not eat sslad. Terrible coffee. Nice outdoor seating, but big mistake to go there. Grossly overpriced for quality. Avoid this place

Bit of a tourist trap as it's beside the cemetery in Recoleta. Glass of wine, beer and portion of fries $12. Had a really good meal for two with steak and pork ribs about five blocks away including bottle of wine for $20. Staff pleasant.

This is a great coffee and pastry stop. Nice atmosphere. Service is good, though not great. It's history makes it very popular.

An old and historic Cafe in BA inspired by automotive, racing and arts. Without knowing this the place doesn't look anything that special. Food looks good but didn't eat anything. Kind of wanted to give 4 star because of the long history. Service was kinda stiff, but fast and professional.

Historical restaurant of Buenos Aires, good variety of options for breakfast, lunch, tea time and dinner. Bit overpriced. The waiters can take orders without writing it down and they remember everything!!

A historically significant establishment with a lovely setting and good service. Criminally expensive, though, and even costlier if you choose to sit outside. The kitchen is nothing to shout about, though it's no longer abysmally terrible. Swarming with tourists and moneyed, slowly decaying octogenarians. Unique, but not exactly recommended.

The place is beautiful and interesting, just in front the Recoleta Cementery, and inside it has the figures of Borges and Bioy Casares. However, the service was not really good.

Great location for a bite if you are visiting Recoleta. The location is amazing. But beware it is a tourist trap. overpriced and very mediocre food. Good service.

I had there a vegetarian option. It was very good, with soup, steam vegetables and dessert. Excellent menu (they have vegan food). I would give 5 starts, but the price is expensive. Then 4 stars.

Nothing better than chilling out on the Biela's terrace in the mornings or afternoons to have a coffee or an almuerzo surrounded by over 40 year old artists and locals. There's an history in this place and you can certainly feel it.

We used the terrace of the cafe to have a cooling down drink. It is very nicely located near the Recoleta cemetery. This does mean the prices are above average, but the service is friendly and the terrace provides a lot of shade.

Actually we wanted to go to another restaurant as La Biela is a touristic hot spot and an expensive place. But as a hard rain was falling we stepped in - and were disappointed: the meat dry, the pasta poor, the salad weak, the prices high. At least, it's a interesting place for car racing lovers and for studies of rich argentinians and ambitious tourists.
