  We were visiting B.A.from the U.S. and had late, late lunch or early, early dinner here with our hosts. The food was great, but it took forever to get it and our party of 7 was the only one in the house. I got the impression that the cook was by himself in the kitchen. Argentinian dinner is traditionally served closer to 9:00 or 10:00 pm nothing like going to bed on a full stomach, especially when you're traveling and your biological time clock is already messed up. I had a mixed barbeque (asado) dinner and my wife had a whole fish dinner. Both were excellently prepared. Same comment for our hosts' dinners.

  Great place food excellent plus staff that served us was very pleasant. Was quite when we were in due to its being early. Would definitely recommend it.

  Great Locro. Traditional Argie food. Mid day menus are great, not cheap, but not expensive either. good atmosphere.

  The food was good, especially the slow cooked lamb which basically melts in your mouth. The service was great, and the price was reasonable.

  Not very busy on a Friday night but had a very tasty slow roasted Patagonian lamb which was cooked perfectly. Flavors were wonderful and got better with every bite. It was served with carrots, and a small salad. They were fine but not rememberable.
  
  Ambiance was good. It would feel a bit crowded if the restaurant was full. Service was also good.
  
  Would happily recommend el federal.

  Great experience with dinner. Had the special of the day with Patagonia slow braised lamb ribs and a king crab salad. Great service & great atmosphere
