Todo bello!!! Lo único molestó, una vendedora q acosaba a mujeres. Ofrecía vino, y te manoseaba el pelo El brazo, todo muy raro. Hasta q otra chica notó lo mismo q yo.

This was the most treacherous road I have ever driven, but I'm only from Florida. My palms were a little sweaty driving up from the Argentina side. Make sure that your foot does not slip off the clutch or the brake pedal! It was very windy and freezing cold at the summit on March 16, 2018 (but there was no snow at the statue site, only the higher adjacent peaks had ice/snow) The people working at the snack/gift shop at the summit were very friendly and the cup of hot cocoa was the best! The highest peak in the Earth's southern hemisphere, the Aconcagua, is not very far from this site.

Very scary journey to the top. The roads aren't very wide. I thought I was going to die. 1/10 would not recommend.

If you like driving at 3000 m plus on winding well kept dirt roads, then this is the place to go.

13000 feet in the Andes, at the border of Argentina and Chile. Amazing views.

Incredible view and statue with great history as well. Bring a jacket as it is cold up there even in the summer months

Years back I pushed up my bicycle the unrideable road.
The road is unpaved full of big stones. I saw even SUV cars giving up. Beside the Yungas road this is one of my highest roads in my life. As there is now a tunnel towards Argentina it looks no one takes care on this road anymore.
This road is in "no man's land" between borders. As more height I have been gaining as more the feelings grow.
Grey sky, close to rain, temperature dropped.
This place is for enthusiasts only
But a place you will not forget.

Amazing view from up here. Going up on the Argentinian side is easier. The road on the Chilean side is steep and with many, many serpentines. It can be pretty windy and cold up here even in summer. Make sure to bring a pullover and a jacket. Driving up with regular car is possible. Use low gears and do not drive faster than 20 km/h. I would not recommend driving up here when it is raining or about to rain.

Didn't get to see the statue itself, due to road conditions from the Chilean side. Had to leave the car at the base and walk up and didn't reach the statue. Amazing place and amazing vistas.
Perilous driving at the best of times, but the road from Chile is falling into serious disrepair, so you are probably best going from the Argentina side.
