  Absolutely beautiful. They charge you 40 pesos per person for the entrance fee and the pleasure of walking around a small 15 minute loop. The views are amazing. If you want to actually hike for more than about 15 minutes and of the park then you're required to purchase a trekking permit, even if you're not trekking, weird I know. The trekking permit costs 200 pesos and you need to purchase that before you start hiking at the visitor center. Would recommend hiking to the confluence camp about 2 hours from the parking lot and 1.5 hours for the return.

  You need a ticket to be able to hike to base camp, and this is pretty strictly enforced. The hike from the parking lot to confluencia (base camp) is about 4.5 miles, and base camp is about 2 miles above sea level. This would’ve been helpful to know since the park website (unhelpfully) marks everything in terms of hours, but different people hike at different speeds, particularly at altitude. The views in every direction, every step of the way, are spectacular!

  El trekking corto puede hacerse en 3 horas, llegando a la base Confluencia. El permiso se tramita en el lugar, donde se entrega una bolsa para residuos y una constancia que debe hacerse firmar por el guardaparque al llegar, y devolverse al abandonar el parque. Debemos llevar documento nacional de identidad.
  Se deben cumplir las normas del lugar para no alterar las características del lugar.
  Si el trekking es hasta Plaza Francia, el permiso debe tramitarse en la oficina de turismo de la Casa de Mendoza, Av San Martín 1100, Mendoza Ciudad. Estimativamente desde Confluencia hasta Plaza Francia son 5 horas de trekking, dificultad media/baja si se tiene adaptación a la altura.

  Paseo obligado en la excursión de Alta Montaña. El trekking corto hasta el mirador se hace en 20 minutos y la vista del Aconcagua es espectacular. El valor de la entrada es muy accesible. Se encuentra a 3 kilómetros de Puente del Inca
