I'm a regular there, have been for years, and recommend it to everyone. The food is a mixture of northern regional stew-like entrees served in casserole dishes and tasty empanadas. Start with a small assortment of empanadas followed by the locro, pastel de garanja, and/or carbonada.

Best empanadas in the city. Service was fast and friendly. You can't beat the prices either. Definitely not something to pass up.

Great restaurant. Regional Argentinian food in a classy cozy setting, but not snobby. Very friendly staff. Menu has English descriptions as well. Great empanadasespecially the carne picante. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and class of restaurant. About 3/4 locals 1/4 tourists. Got a table for one with no reservation on a Saturday around nine. Place was full by 9:30 though. 2 empanadas, an entree and a litre of Stella Artois was around $165AR. An absolute bargain. Best restaurant so far after my week in BA. Highly recommend. Would also recommend Calden Del Soho also in Palermo neighborhood, very nice steakhouse with big portions. CASH only, no credit cards.

A nice and inexpensive place that serves a variety of dishes that aren't necessarily meat focused. Plenty of stews and such. Highly recommended if you are looking for a change in Buenos Aires.

Delicious baked empanadas made with fresh ingredients and great mastery that give them a very intense and natural flavor, and makes them lighter and healthier than usual. The typical stews are also very tasty: for first ttimers I recommend ordering the sampling of stews. Well priced lunch menu.
