  Խորանաշատը կառուցվել է 13-րդ դարում և եղել է միջնադարյան Հայաստանի նշանավոր գիտական, կրթական և մշակութային կենտրոններից մեկն է եղել։ Գտնվում է հայ-ադրբեջանական պետական սահմանից ընդամենը 500 մետրի վրա և այցելության համար բավականին վտանգավոր է։ Հնարավոր է այցելել սահմանապահ զինվորների ուղեկցությամբ։
