  One of my favourite churches in Armenia. It is situated next to a valley so dont forget to appreciate the might of nature when you come to visit this church. Its architecture is beautiful as well. Easy to get there by public transport as well.

  Hovhannavank is a monastery near Ashtarak city and not so far from Here and, about 30 minutes from the center. It is 12-13th centuries cathedral, one of the biggest old Armenian churches. And there is 7-8th centuries basilica. And there is A monastery in 10 minutes from here.

  I visited this place in the first week of June'17 it is worth spending some time here enjoying cool air coming from the gorge behind the monastry. A good place for nature/historical/archeological enthusiasts.

  A beautiful monastery (vank) on top of a deep ravine. Most of the monastery is from the 13th century but the old small basilica i from the beginning of the fourth century.

  The church here is awesome!
  It used to have a significant church. It is very easy to get there. You can walk there from the village Karbi. There are some other cool churches on the Kasagh gorge.

  Most interesting is carved scene from the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins. Virgins are bearded men :)
