The food is good. It's big portions. We could not finish and they offer us to take away the food.
The staff is very friendly.

Good address for lunch after the visit of the castle !!

To begin with Several dishes on the menu werent available and the waiters barely spoke english. Which woulndt be a big deal.
But.. For the main dish we ordered a mix of traditional albanian pies that were served nearly cold (they are supposed to be hot). We then told the waiter that our food is cold.. He touched it with his fingers to realize that we were right. He brought it back to the kitchen. After getting it back from the kitchen it was hot But totally burned! The whole meal was black outside and dry inside
We didnt complain again because we feared something even worse would happen

We also ate a soup and a salad wich was 'ok' but nothing we would like to eat again We also drank a very low quality white wine (the italian house wine)..

In general we wished to have chosen a different restaurant this evening.

The view was great btw!

This was our favorite hotel in our week long Albania trip! The owner fed us the biggest most amazing breakfast of our whole trip, plus the dinner we ate here was tasty and locally authentic as well! The owner and staff clearly take great pride in the hotel and it shows in all details from the ornate ceilings in the rooms to the fact we were greeted when we arrived with 2 huge glasses of wine and a couple of espressos!!

I only take the time to leave a review when a hotel is amazing or horrible, and this one falls into the rare AMAZING category! Just come to Girokaster already and stay here, I promise you won't be disappointed!!
