I joined On Deck's Farr 65 Spirit of Juno for an amazing experience - racing in Antigua Sailing Week and it was fantastic. I've done some sailing before in the UK and nothing could compare to this - the boat and crew were great. I was treated very well and guided into being useful as well as learning a lot from more experienced sailors. The atmosphere on board was focused and professional during racing but had a fine balance to be friendly and helpful too. The whole time was perfect and I really hope to be able to join in again. I must also mention that winning the class was also a pretty good feeling. Thank you to all at On Deck.
Outstanding week onboard Spirit of Juno during ASW 2018.
I have, for the second year running , joined Ondeck for a week onboard Spirit of Juno for Antigua Sailing Week. I loved it so much last year that I decided to come back again. I was prepared to be disappointed as I believed that nothing could top the amazing week I enjoyed in 2017. Nothing could be further from the truth. Juno had obviously had a lot of time and money spent on her during the last 12 months. For me it felt like I was sailing on a different yacht so much improved was the whole experience. Kay and Pete Anthony were as exceptional in their hospitality as always and the crew lead by Aaron Chapman as Skipper were simply fantastic. I cannot praise the team at Ondeck enough, nor thank them with sufficient thanks to let them know how much I enjoyed the whole week. So much so that I have already signed up to go again next year! But the icing on the cake has to be the number of times we went up on the podium at prize giving every night - culminating a First in our Class CSA 3!!
I’ve just returned to the UK after a phenomenal week’s sailing with On Deck on the Spirit of Juno in the Antigua Regatta 2018.
I stepped onto this beautiful boat as a novice and could not have been more warmly greeted by the owners Pete and Kay, the skipper, Arran Chapman, the professional crew along with the other sailors.
From the very first race a little bit of magic was created. The extraordinary professionalism, experience, preparation and sheer competence of the crew melded the entire team into a solid, happy and motivated unit.
In the course of the week the expected obstacles emerged. Each were dealt with without drama and before we knew it we were posting incredible results.
The Spirit of Juno brought us all together and guided us, the team worked hard and laughed harder and the seas, weather and teamwork left me overwhelmed ecstatic as we won our class with a race to spare.
Can’t wait to return to On Deck and the joy of being with such a fabulous outfit.
Thank you so much for this incredible experience.

I just did a course at ondecksailing. Really friendly service and good teachers. Thumps up :)
I learned alot from my training with ondeck. Very experianced instructors. Highly recomended. The water front hostel is great and located in same building.
Excellent Day Skipper course. Boat was in good shape and the instructor (Peter Hopps) was excellent in terms of both sailing skills and teaching ability/methodology. I would highly recommend Ondeck to anyone looking into RYA certification.
Sailed with On Deck while stopped in Antigua on a cruise. Had a blast! Very professional crew. Would definitely sail with them again!
Had a great morning on a 'Try Sailing' chartered boat around Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour. The crew were great and very informative on sailing and life in Antigua. Thanks to Dee for arranging for us to join a shared boat and we will definitely return.
Sailed with OnDeck on the round Barbados race in Jan 2016 and had an absolute blast! Very professional, fantastic Yacht (Spirit of Juno) and a most excellent apres sail!
