Everything Was Awesome. Food, room, service especially at the restaurant. The beach is remarkable. Very relaxing atmosphere. It's very peaceful and personable. The greatest asset is the staff, they make you feel welcome and belong. Very good snorkeling that clear water. Waters ports guys are very engaging and helpful. Recommended by me anytime

Very disappointed with our stay at this resort. Every year, my wife and I leave the children home and travel to a Caribbean island. This year was the worst experience since we started this tradition 6 years ago.
The island itself is beautiful and the locals outside this resort are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the resort’s staff is not the same. Hermitage Bay’s staff does not work together and communicate to each other. There seems to be tension between the employees and it affects the service and overall experience.
Will try Antigua again, but not Hermitage Bay.

If you are looking for a fantastic honeymoon spot in Antigua, look no further! The Hermitage Bay experience is something my wife and I will be talking about for a long time. All staff members went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and our room was hands down the coolest place either of us have ever stayed at. We loved the ability to fold back all the doors and windows in order to fully appreciate the beautiful view of the bay and surrounding area - especially during the sunsets.
This is the perfect place to unwind after planning a wedding.

Easily the essence of tranquility. The best in the region. I love going there and playing my songs. The management insist on the best for their guests without compromise.

This place makes you feel like you're not in Antigua. It's like a resort in the Rainforest over looking the Caribbean Sea

Don't try to swim to the rock. My left foot got 40+ spines in it from a sea urchin just a few meters before the rock. The rock looks all cool and interesting to swim to. But trust me, these sea urchin spines in my foot practically ruined my trip, and I'm still limping 3 days later.

Otherwise it's a very nice beach from what I remember from before all the pain and agony.

My wife & I just finished our 5 night honeymoon here and everything was incredible! The rooms were very luxurious & all guests get their own private cabin. Those on the mountainside come with their own private infinity pool which we enjoyed every day. The staff were amazing - very friendly and accommodating - service overall is unmatched. The beachfront is absolutely beautiful. Food was delicious as well - all a la carte, and menus changed daily with a wide range of gourmet options. We will definitely be coming back!

The place is situated on a picturesque beach with astounding views and having the modern conveniences one expects when vacationing.

The beach and the warm weather is a welcome change from buzzing city life. Just enjoying nature at its finest is quite a delight.

Amazing rooms, views, and grounds. Staff goes above and beyond to make your experience the absolute best. And the food!! It is head and shoulders above any all-inclusive. This place is one to put on your list.

I didn't visit the place but I can share my experience with reservation department.
I really appreciate their honesty and cooperation with customers, in fact I booked to Antigua after seeing the photos of hermitage bay resort, it wasn't easy to find good route from dc.
Then after booking the room at this resort I asked about something ( as I didn't know how to reach the customer service before booking)
& the answer was so honest
the way they deal with me made me sure that they are so honest with customers & they don't treat their property as business only but friendly.
They didn't charge me as well

A once in a lifetime week at Hermitage Bay - luxury and impeccable service in the perfect setting of a half moon bay. Special things: the friendly staff who treat you like family; a high quality menu with a focus on fresh and local; sailing one of the hotel's catamarans off the beach and racing round the bay; the sound of tropical frogs, birds and insects; the peace and tranquility and privacy of the suites, which have their own shaded veranda and plunge pool. Loved everything about it.

Incredibly relaxing and chilled out place. We stayed in a room higher up the hill with amazing views over the bay. Unforgettable to watch the sunsets while luxuriating in the plunge pool. Our room was spacious and tastefully furnished and really put a smile on your face when opening the door. Great food, brilliant facilities, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I rarely think of returning to hotels but I would love one day to come back here.

Most ratings online are inflated with 5 star reviews, but Hermitage Bay and their staff absolutely deserve the highest rating available! We stayed here 4 nights for our Honeymoon. When we booked it, we initially thought it was a bit over-priced. Overall, our experience was worth every single penny. From the second we stepped into the airport in Antigua they took care of us every moment and we had no worries on our once in a lifetime experience. I could write forever about how wonderful the resort and staff were. Drinks, food, beach, amenities were perfect. From the pool boy to the wonderful restaurant staff, everyone treated us like royalty. The cabanas are very private and serene, the pictures online are exactly what you get. Can't say enough about this place, thank you so much.

Amazing! Simply one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Waited on hand and foot from the moment you get there until the time you leave. You very quickly develop a friendship with the caring staff. Everyone is so informative and helpful. The plunge pool in the hillside villas are amazing. The wet bar is complimentary and you can choose to stock it with what you want every day at breakfast. The one and only complaint we had was that dinner took 2 hours every night we were there. I get that it is a relaxed atmosphere but I do not want to sit at dinner that long when I could be sitting by my plunge pool with a mojito. Like I said small complaint for such amazing food and such an amazing experience that we were given. Well worth the money. We will be back
