Grand no way I think they ruined a great beach for economic gain so sad antigua need a real environmental board to protect the beaches and wetlands.

The Grand Royal Antiguan Beach Resort is a Hotel situated on Deep Bay in Five Islands Village, Antigua and Barbuda. The Resort/Hotel is one of the larger properties on the Island and at one time it was the tallest structure in Antigua. The Grand Royal Antiguan Beach Resort hotel has seen a few name changes (owners as well) over the years but still maintains its essence.

The Grand Royal Antiguan Beach Resort sits on the banks of a Lagoon on one side and the Hills and a Beach on another side. The spectacular scenic view of the hotel from nearby Fort Barrington is quite breathtaking and interesting. The property is famous for the hosting of events in the spacious ball room or one of the many Restaurants. I have enjoyed my Wedding Reception in the Grand Ballroom and the complementary suite there afterwards. The Hotel is quite prominent in the landscape and can be seen from many distant angles and location. The staff members are friendly and helpful, intent on letting you have a good time.

All in all the picturesque hotel and general surroundings all come together to delight and enlight the visitors and patrons.

This place is at the end of its life. Service is bad. The room is horrible. The building is falling a part. Everything in this place is so bad that qa I don't even know how to describe how bad this place is But on the list of the top 3 bad things include:
    - no hot water during the day
    - disgusting swimming pool
    - the worst service in all possible means (rude people all over).

If this is your last resort, please avoid this place at all means. Do a favor to yourself and family going somewhere else.

The location is great and the view from room 604 was great but the check in staff was surly and the TV in the room was from another decade while the WiFi was completly not functioning during my two stays there which made getting work done very difficult. The restaurant however was wonderful and the snapper was done to perfection. Could do with some improvements especially in the staff department but it's a wonderfully quiet place.

The weirdest, ghost-hotel in the Caribbean. Great location, though.

Hotel looked run down. Lobby and restaurant looked decent, and the rooms were good sized. But there was much wrong with the place. When you pull in, the first thing you see to your right is an abandoned and dilapidated house. Grounds were not kept. Basketball and Tennis Courts looked like they had been abandoned for years. Restaurant menu was limited, quality was poor. Internet was poor quality.

I was told that the hotel was great back in its prime - but it seemed that those were far gone times. We stayed one night and switched to another Hotel. From what I understand, after it had failed and its owner failed to deliver on his promises for 10 years, the Antiguan government took it over. I hope they can renovate it and bring it back up to code. It's on a great beach. it's just that the hotel is terrible.

Terrible. Don't stay here. We did for 1 hour and then cut our losses. There's quiet and then there's derelict. Will be seeking a refund. It was like a ghost town. 5 other people were there.
