  Gorgeous beach for walking and exercising. It has a wide sand bank and beautiful rock juttings at both ends of the beach. People are almost always on the sand or in the water and it it frequented by tourist and residents alike.

  The fort James Beach is a very popular Antiguan Beach. The beach is located close to the Fort James and other locations in the area such as Miller's By the Sea and Splash Antigua.
  
  A popular picnic beach especially at Labour Day and other public holidays. The long stretch of white sandy beach with several bars and Restaurants. A major beach complete with restroom, changing and shower facilities making it a desired picnic location. Swimming and beach activities abound on this beach since the water is relatively calm, please beware of the deceptively strong ocean current.
  
  Palm trees and Seaside Grape trees with some grassy areas are present at the side of the road directly next to the beach. As I often say "To get more coastal than this is to be driving in the water", This is another one of Antigua's Drive in Beaches (Right next to the roadside), a great option for casual sea bathers and other users of the beach and rather extensive surrounding areas.
  
  The surrounding scenery (The seascape if you will) is rather scenic and delightful, the sunsets are that much more spectacular since the horizon is in full view (look out for that flash of green). In the Tourist Season Cruise ships can be seen entering and leaving the neighbouring St. John's Cruise Port and day passengers among the beach goers.
  
  The Fort James Beach can best be described as a park and a beach area with several business and amenities available. This beach can take a whole day and even evening to enjoy.
