The Christian Valley Agricultural Station is a Government owned and operated agricultural station in the southern mountainous region of Antigua in the vicinity of the Jennings village. There are several facets to the extremely scenic and picturesque location. as its name suggest it is in a valley and surrounded by many Hills and Mountains for example the Mcnish Mountains and Mount Obama. There is a plant propagation nursery and a large area of fruits trees and other trees in the style of an orchard or a plantation if you will. The site was recently made more famous for the blooming of several Century Palm Trees. Plants and fruits are on sale to the general public and there is also a section dealing with grafting and developing plant varieties.

The Christian Valley Agricultural Station is the venue for the annual Mango festival and in the rainy seasons it is also the site for Antigua's seasonal Waterfall. A popular camping ground and a base camp so to speak for hikes to Mount Obama and other surrounding regions. Arranged tours and also instructive teaching of plant care and propagation/grafting are all facilitated at this location. There are other facilities available which may not immediately come to mind such as having a plant expert visiting your location to assist with a challenge you may be having or to provide instructions or lessons on a particular topic.

The staff members are quite helpful, approachable and dedicated as well. On my many visits my experiences have always been pleasant and rewarding. The relaxing and somewhat cooler atmosphere of this fruitful (pun intended) and scenic area makes a visit well worth the while.
